Hi,
i have a problem to save my channels. Its stops scanning at 31 of 76.
I use progdvb 5.12.01 Api Version 1.33 Prodvb Engine 2.17 and try to save channels from Astra 1F (Astra19.2) .
My dvb-s Card is the technotrend s2 3200.
I still have rights to write on the dir "Progdbv" and i have Adminrights.
Perhaps i did not configure the progdvb right,. so where can i find the right settings of this program.
do you still have an Answer for me
Thanks

Try select Technotrend in device options and check LNB in diseq options.

5.12.1 had a scanner bug, that made channel scan fail on some transponder, but that bug is definitely gone with 5.12.2.
If your scan does not give any results above 11900 MHz, your LNB / DiSEqC related settings must be wrong.
Suppose, you have not set LOF and switch values to default, but this is mandatory for european standards.
And you must not set a 22kHz position switch, as you need 22kHz available for band switching.
Carefully look through all the items on Settings menue.
ProgDVB has tons of options, though for most of them, the defaults should suit your situation.
BTW, are you sure to have a universal LNB (that allows 22kHz switching to high band)?
Or are you attached to some community dish set?
A mulitiswitch in use? For a single position, that won't have to be told to ProgDVB, as those behave exactly like single universal LNBs, the most common standard.
Details rule...

Hi,
thanks for fast answering.
I have a 4 port LNB and i could see all Programs via Dbox2.
It stops at 11934 Vertical. so i think you are right, but i don´t know the setting for the diseq and lnb.
My settings:
LNB settings:
ku-band Lof1 9750 switch 11700 lof2 10600 satelite Astra 1f
diseq settings:
(BDA) Technotrend BDA /DVB-S Tuner
Properties:
Satelite Astra 1F Transponder 10788- V-22000
Position 0
Autotuning Steps 3
under usals:
Germany Hannover
So i am an absolute beginner, thats why i must send you these settings.

You only have one LNB.
So, you don't need USALS, as that's only for (multiple) position change.
No switch involved, so the whole thing is DiSEqC=none, one LNB for Astra 19.2°E with default settings.
LOF values must suit the true LNB's local oscillators, their frequencies are printed onto it's label. Default values are highly recommended, as all european style LNBs are using those.
If this does not help, it seems, your 22kHz switching does not work.
Possible causes are
- long cable with too small copper strength
- badly crafted cable, not contacting the shield wires properly
- corrosion on outside connectors (cut away at least 10cm if cable core got wet)
- weak LNP port, try another
- possibly a bad device, if it's 22kHz generator weak or failed
- looping through the receiver (don't do this, as it cases switching collision. Try to feed directly and compare)

Hi,
i only see Programs that i don´t want. I want to see the germen Programs. Prosieben, Rtl ,ans so on. The cable and the lnb is ok because i can see everything with my dbox. So it must be an wrong setting.

Let us go systematic.
On fighting with computer logics, our own logics are the only weapon we have.
Connect the LNB directly, not over the receiver's loop back. Tell us about this...
If you don't have any DiSEqC switch and only one LNB, don't set any switch in DiSEqC / LNB settings, just a normal LNB, nothing else.
But if you have a special unicable (bandstacking) system, tell us with full detail, as ProgDVB does not know about those, even if your receiver might...
First of all, have your (dynamic) channel list grouped by transponder. This won't effect an existing favourites list.
You can make a safety copy of the Channels subfolder, if already put some effort into a favs list.
Then set the switch value for your LNB to 11550 MHz.
Scan completely. after this let all stations delete, that are found as lost.
If all would be correct, this would have changed nothing (except of a handful of temporary stations perhaps).
Look at the channel list, normally it should list all transponders, but if not, like ending at 11550 now, tell us precisely.
Set the switch to 11900, same procedure, same result. You should not find new stations, normally, as you would still get all transponders this way, if all was OK.
But, if you can now get stations up to 11900, instead of 11550 on the first try, let us know in detail...
We can only discuss all your settings, if you have us informed about all of those.
Starting with the DiSEcQ / LNB settings in full detail, no less than that.
Don't try to think, just proceed exactly as I told, as else we would confuse each other.
[irony on]
No perhapses, as there is no boolean function for those, to put into code...
And even if there was anything like this, Microsoft would be the only one to know, perhaps an important component of their famous BSOD generator...
[irony off]

Hi,
first i try to explain what i have.
I have aLNB with 4 ports. There are two cables on that LNB. One for the Livingroom and one for an other room. Before i build up a HTPC i still have a dbox2 on the LNB Cable. Now the dbox is not connected and i connect only the HTPC over a Technotrend S2 3200 card directly to the LNB.
I installed the newest Driver of the TTs2 card and install progdvb 5.12.02.
In the Settings "devicelist" the card was detect correctly. Then i try to scan for channels, but i don´t get any channels. It stops at 1190 (31 of 76) . Then i change under "diseqc" the lof2 to 22000 . Now i saw alot of channels, but not those i want to saw. (RTL, Prosieben etc.)
I have no favourites. it is a new Installation.
So, i hope everything is clear now. sorry for my bad english.

What exactly do you mean with
It stops at 1190 (31 of 76)
?
Dit the scan routine stop there, allowing to store then, or did it (or ProgDVB) crash or close itself?
Are you really sure having tested the latest 5.12.2, and not 5.12.1 (which had a bad scanner bug)?
Setting LOF2 to 22000 means, you cannot find anything at all above the switch value, as this would lead to try to tune to frequencies far above the Ku band only.
But modern ProgDVB versions won't even complain then, as older did.
Well, I advised you how to proceed, already.

Hi,
i have tested the 5.12.01 and the 5.12.02.
it crashed. the only way to stop was to kill it over the taskmanager. so i can´t save the Progs.
then i change the lof2 to 22000 and then it works but the channels i saw was not the channels i want to saw. (France24 etc.)
Now what i want to try ist to use the older Version 4.85 . First i try to scan if it not works i will download the channel.dat from the internet.
I will tellyou about the result.
Can you tell me which version i need to look HD Programs?
What about the setting for the codecs.
thanks for taking the trouble to explain.

5.12.01 had that scanner bug. Don't use.
5.12.02 should not crash at scanning.
Here it does not.
Make sure to really test the correct one.
If in any doubt, check file properties of ProgDVBNet.exe from Windows Explorer, --> Version.
On 4.* version the relevant file's name is ProgDVB.exe.
Can't help you on HD questions, as I don't have any suitable hardware here.
Same goes for codec issues, I'm using hardware decoding.
Read again at the download pages, for HD / DVB-S2 and alike.
However, you should first have the Std. version running fine, before spending extra money.
Regarding codecs, normally people already have more than one on their systems, like from DVD palyer software or alike. You can try one of those. If necessary, try to make a suitable graph.
