right, so it's detected by windows and it says the device is working properly, however- all signals for all sats are at zero (and yes I checked no one stole my sat dish :) ). tried reinstalling drivers- versions 4.4.0 and 4.3.2 , and the original ones that came on a disk. all of this just happened- a day ago was working perfectly. The one time something DID happen accidentally during my numerous driver reinstalls was that I did manage to scan some channels, a few of them at that, and when I tried to view em they were at zero- during scanning gave a nice 60-70%. tried dvbdream and same thing.

Sad to say, but if this also happens with another DVB application, there's a 'good' chance, you are indeed having technical problems.

No must it's the SS2, as even your LNB or cable may have gone bad, like from water entering at the LNB connector and causing corrosion. Or the dish has moved, by strong winds, chimney cleaners, whatever else. Or a big fat bird did something nasty with your LNB...

I believe, you would have noticed recent earth quakes or spontaneous continental drift
[irony off]

The only simple way is systematical testing with another receiver.
