I found my DVB-S card (AverMedia DVB-S PRO PCI on Vista x64 OS) on your list of supported hardware and decided to give ProgDVB (5.12.3 trial) a chance, since application that came with my DVB-S card is full of bugs.

I hoped I will be able to watch HD channels but I found out that i can't scan transponders which contain HD channels.
Why is that?

My dvb-s card should be able to display HD (there is 1080/720p ready sign on a box). I also have h264 codecs (at elast stated by vista codecs-i can watch h264 hd films).

Why can't i scan any HD channels?
Help please...

Depends on the modulation of the HD transmissions.
Your device can tune to DVB-S transponders, but not to DVB-S2.
That modulation modes are as different as AM and FM, technically.
