Hallo,

my old TV-Card (nexus) is broken and now I searching for a new one.
The best would be HDTV (DVB-S2) with PiP (dual reciver) support.
But there is no Card like that.

So I thought, i will buy 2 cheap cards of the same sort:
Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2

Will the new PiP future work with 2 of these same cards?
Or must it be 2 differnt types of cards so i can aktivate 2 devices under the devices settings.

It is depended. Some card not can use two tuners at once, some not can work if more one on PC. Most safe way is two dvb cards from different manufactures.

i'm sorry but you can NOT receive hd channels like premiere hd with nova hd on latest progdvb version !
i have the hauppauge nova hd s2 and i get no lock signal on 11914 (premiere hd) !

Die freien Sender wie Sat1 HD und Pro7HD konnte ich aber schon empfangen. Sie haben glaube nur den Transponder gewechselt (;
Außerdem muss man beim Kanal noch das S2 Checkbox setzen.

Premiere HD verwendet eh ne spezielle Verschlüsselung die anders ist als deren normale Kanäle.

i dont mean the possibility of decryption of premiere hd !

there is no lock signal on 11914 frequency astra 19e with my nova hd !!

So, do you get a lock on 12722 H 22000 2/3 (DVB-S2)?

How are L & Q close to 11914, at the DVB-S transponders, H and V ?
Means, at 11876 H, 11895 V, 11934 V, 11954 H ?

hi Jürgen,

i have tested the mentioned frequencies ! result:

11876,11895,11934 and 11954 are working fine ! L and Q are high !!

but on 11914 only L is high, the Quality is not present !!!

i have also tested the other DVB-S2 on Astra 19e like 12522, 12581 and 12722 , result:

i got only lock signal with L & Q high when i set PILOT to ON manually ! i dont know what the Pilot setting is doing but when i activate it, i get lock singal with my nova hd !
maybe this will help you for the next release !

I think you have card like hauppage 4000 and must set correct value rolloff and pilot for scan S2 transponder.

i have tested all combinations of rolloff settings and pilot with no success

on astra 19e the other s2 transponder work with pilot setting on but only the premiere hd transponder 11914 is showing no reaction !

hopefully you can make a fix for it ...

nachtrag: also with the new 5.12.6 the s2 transponder 11914 on astra 19e is not scan-able. pilot and rolloff combinations showed no result

by the way, in latest dvbviewer its working with activated "new tuning methode" option !
so its possible to scan the 11914 s2 transponder on the nova hd but hopefully you can find out how to realize this in Progdvb

all other s2 frequencies are being found with pilot setting on with latest Progdvb but premiere hd transponder not ...
