Hi!

ProgDVB 5 (5.12.02 and 5.12.06) doesn't find any of the 3 DVB-T channels at 198,5 MHz with a Freecom USB Stick BDA device. I guess, it's because of the xxx,5, cause it shows me to search just "198 MHz" in the channel search dialogue. Version 4 finds it, but unfortunately is very unstable on my system. As an interim solution I do the channel search once with Version 4 and copy the content of the "channels" folder created by version 4 to the channel folder of Version 5. Because I don't want to run 2 versions, how can I get Version 5 to find the channel?

Thanks in advance

Try to scan manually on that frequency.
If this worls, try to (specify and) modify the transponder INI file you're using.
Keep an external safety copy for later updates then.

Terrestrial (and even some cable) providers sometimes have to shift some frequencies a bit, to avoid interference with other services or similar
.
The transponder lists that come with ProgDVB are meant to get things started, but as there's no reliable worldwide ressource for such data (though joshyfun is pretty close to that), and changes happen quite often, there's no perfect, quick and easy solution for this.
That's why Prog started to implement blind scanning for DVB-T and DVB-C recently. But such a procedure surely takes some time...
