HDTV & Codecs - problems

Hi guys...
First; I've read a lot of threads about similar issues, where the problem have been about the same, but there is almost never a solution.
I have just purchased the Pro edition and installed the trial (yesterday) of Elecard h.264 codecs.
My hw config are:
Intel Core2Duo 6850 3 GHz CPU
4 Gb ram
ATI HD 3850 with 512 Mb DDR3 ram
TT Budget S2-3200
Vista Ultimate 32bit (just installed).
Sat is Thor (0.8W), channels for test are Canal + FILM HD, Nat Geo HD, Discovery HD, Voom HD
First;
All SD channels work perfectly, picture and sound are very good.
But HD keeps lagging.
I've tested Options-Direct Show-Custom settings with both Cyberlink H.264 decoder (from PDVD7 Ultra) and also with just installed CoreAVC Pro codecs. Changed different Video Render options, same result; picture lagging.
I've tested Graph by xgr with both Elecard and ElecardPlugin under H.264 settings with different Video Render options, same result; lagging.
By the way; ProgDVB crashes very often...
Now I'm stuck; dont know what to test. I desperate need help on what to look for. Could this be a interlace problem?
Strange thing is that when I use Graph by xgr, and choose Canal + Film HD, then select File->Properties, it says;
Video 720*576, Filters MainConsept AVC/H.264 Video Decoder, and format is mpg2/256/48000/2ch.
What is then wrong; info in Properties, or what? I dont know what information to trust.
There are several people waiting here in Norway for my test results before they choose to buy preferred DVB software. Personally I like everything about ProgDVB, but as I said; I'm stuck with these problems...
Also; It would be nice if anybody could explain how the Video Render works in general and how the different options could affect the codec used.
Anyone... Please help me solve these HD problems...
Regards,
Stigh
