What kind of subs? ETSI or TXT based?
What satellite etc. ?

Please give full details, on an example station.

Where do you play in? Perhaps the player has settings for this, or even the codec it uses.
Do the subs come from an extra file (that might be removed from location on HD)?

Details rule...

Hi Juergen,

You were right, the subs were being automatically open from a separate SRT file on the HD. I've never had this before though! Is this something that is a default option on later versions of ProgDVB ?

Thanks, Andy

Regarding ProgDVB as recorder, writing SRT should be fine as a standard feature these days. Simply common practice...
A player should have a function, to select if subs are to be read or not.
Else you can remove the file, or place it elsewhere, like in a subfolder, to keep it for later use..
