Hi,

I have just found this great software and installed the standard v5. It installs with the Elecard evaluation decoder which works great but I want to use my Cyberlink mpeg2 decoder that I have on my system. I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly but I am doing the following:

Settings \ Options \ Direct Show

I check the Custom Mode for Graph Creating and can select the Cyberlink decoder under Video however when I select this and click OK I get 'Create filter error (Video decoder)'.

What am I doing wrong or have I missed something?

I am test Cyber 5 minutes ago and not found problem.
But you must use CyberLink >= 6

Thanks for the quick response - I think I know what I did. After changing to the Cyberlink Decoder, I unchecked the box before clicking OK. That seems to be what I was missing.

I have one other issue - when I record, it seems to record fine - I did a test of about 2 mins 30 secs and it saved an mpeg2 file of about 64mb. When I play this back, it seems to skip through and only for for a couple of seconds and then stop. I tried another recording test and it did the same. I have tried recording with a different application and it works fine.
Any idea why the recording is broken up like this? During the recording, the received signal was perfect.

You can try record to .ts format for more stability

Thanks again for the fast reply. .TS seems to playback fine however it records a different channel from what I am watching. Any idea why?

make sure to check these sources/filters for repair mpeg2 recorded

e.g. (MPC == > options == > internal filters )

MPEG PS/TS/PVA , DTS/AC3 / MPEG-2 video
