AC3 Dolby Sound please help

In an earlier post I discribed already my problems recording with Dolby Digital. Now my new System Vista64 HDMI conectied to AV receiver still the same problemsonly picture with 2ch sound. With other programs i.e. Mediaportal it works fine, with Dolby Digital sound.
A friend who dont know the Prodvb told me now, maybe it does not work with Progdvb, becouse I am useing the free standart edition 5.13.5. Is this maybe true??? If this is the case, it would helb so much I guess for many users if someone could post a discribtion of the real differences between free, evaluation and prof. editions. Or maybe I missed something?
