How to deactivate Timeshift?

Hello,
I'm using ProgDVB 4.89.8.
During the installation i deactivated Timeshift but it doesnt work.
He does Timeshift all the time when im watching. Cause of that my cpu usage is very high.
How can i deactivate the Timeshift???

Timeshift not use CPU at all.

...My question was how to deactivate timeshift..
..but its such a high cpu usage that other programs are running very low.

Impossible deactivate timeshift because not one reason.
CPU usage actually depended from mpeg2 codecs.

Timeshift in RAM will put some load to the memory bus, in file it would put some load to the data bus your HDD controller is attached to.
Both may cause some load readings to rise, depending on the (not always technically correct) calcualtion meothod used by the diagnostics utility.
If in RAM, you got to have far enough RAM and a carefully set limit, to not slow down other applications. You must avoid letting things run into swap file...
Perhaps also think about a second physical HDD, to place the timeshift (or swap) file there on.
On most older versions of ProgDVB you can disable timeshift generally at install time.

Yes there was an option during the instalation to disable it.
But this doesnt worked.

Maybe on Engine2 or .NET versions it won't (yet) work to disable timeshift, but on older ones it does.

All version ProgDVB (old and new) not request addition buffer and thread for timeshift. This buffer use for cache and timeshift in same time and impossible disable it. But in this way timeshit function not request addition CPU time or thread.
