e34 error with Twinahn ci pci card

Hi all,
newbie here from Australia.. I recently added a twinhan Mantis 1034 ci card into my pc system. I purchased a purple cam and put my Austar Pay TVversion 5.3 card into it. I first used the software that came bundled with the card, Twinhan's "digitalTV."
It is very clunky software, but I could get all channels okay. I loaded ProgDBV and scanned, found all the channels with good quality signal. The thing is I'm getting a red lock icon in the bottom left hand sideof the ProgDBV dialog. I can get the free channels no problem.
I jump back into the crappy card's software player and I have unlocked channels. I have tried using this card with DNTV Live and I get the same issues as the ProgDbv software...
I interigate the ci module and it gives me an e34 error saying the signal is scrambled..
This is definately legit card and as I said the DigitalTV software works with it, as does the austar box. I have to be doing something fundamentally wrong here.
Anywhere I should start looking?

cheers,

.

thank you for fast reply. My setting is set to twinhan/azurewave and I still have problem.

I have registered all .ax and .dll I can find. I am lost..

I know the ci module and cam and card work, but just not with Progdvb or DNTV LIve!

Any other ideas?

okay, I found a PIN. it was 6962.
I am in the CI and under monitor the EMM count is 2 and the ECM count is 0. I have pressed okay several times and no change.

Is this of any help?

Try to preselect the correct crypt system in channel properties as default.

Austar uses irdeto2. Can you please give some info on how to set the crypt manually?

I know to right click on channel and go to channel properties. After that I do not know what to do.

regards,

In channel properties, you will find a table of CA type, ECM, EMM, ID.
Double click one of them, to set it as default.
It's ECM will then appear in the ECM field.

Thanks for your replies, Juergen. I have 2 ECM listed under the Conditional Access tab. I have tried both of them and still I get no picture.

I notice in the CA module under monitoring that the emm and ems sometimes have no count. Is this a problem? Is this why my ECM is not updating?

cheers,

Sorry, this is where both my knowledge and horizon end.
I'm not using a CAM over here, nor could I see that bird, due to a nasty planet in between....

Someone else, perhaps ???

BTW
On a worldwide AND ProgDVB related board like this, best to start with surely is to name the position(s) used, like in this case '156.0°E Optus C1', and, of course, ProgDVB version(s).
The description of channel props I gave was related with all 4.* versions
Details may save others quite some time...

One more for the road, perhaps you will find much more for your needs and interests at dvbn.happysat.org
