Hello,

At firts: a big sorry for my bad english....

I've been since one week Satelco DVB-S USB box. On my normal computer, the BOX with Sceneo AbsolutTV works properly.

Yesterday I connected the box with my laptop connected and installed ProgDVB.
After a few problems I have successfully connected with Astra 19.The Channelsearch works and found many (ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat1, etc.).

Unfortunately, I can't see a real picture. ProgDVB makes the picture only in the upper quarter . Sometimes it is to the half, but then goes back to the first cm. That is what happens all the time (relatively fast). The sound stutters the whole time.

I connected the box then back to my other computer - no problems, great picture.

Can someone help me?
The notebook has the following facilities:

Dell Latitude D531
AMD Turion X2 TL60
2GB Ram
Vista Ultimate

Greeting Michael

P.S. Mpeg2 videos can be played without any problems (with ProgDVB)
I've also installed the Cyberlink PowerDVD (because the codec)

I've tested the PowerDVD codec, the Elecard codec, also a Nero Mpeg Codec and the Micorosft MPEG2-Video Decoder.

I also tested the differnt Video render (VMR, EVR).

yes, but the "picture" looks with every codec different (colours).

Check and perhaps update your VGA driver.
It seems, your video overlay does not really work properly.

Also important, the check the internal settings (properties) of the codec in use.

BTW, is your picture blown up to the visible fragment, which would then use the whole video frame, or is it somehow covered by black or deep blue areas?
What exactly happens in full screen mode?

Normally I would recommend to compare with an older version of ProgDVB or two, but right now, the download links for some older versions are just gone, after a careless cleanup of the download section

Well, we have to follow the rules the site owner defines.
And as I am the only German speaking active moderator currently, who would then have to read, check for possible legal threats and alike, once I don't find the time...

Let's better be glad to be allowed speaking English instead of Russian here.

But if you are looking for a place to read and post in German, register at dvbn.happysat.org.
There's a dedicated German section to be found, well equipped with some more specialists ;)
