i noticed some problems since first appearance of 5.x gen .

1. when watching in "normal mode" and click on "show desktop" icon on quick launch , Progdvb behave as minimize ( e.g. if i use "mute in minimize" it will be execute when click on "show desktop" !!! )

2. I use a screen saver for my windows . during watching via Progdvb screen saver operate like situation there's no action ! .

3. some channels ( from different transporders ) not work except when changing video render ( any render ) . in case of reboot Progdvb the same channels not work except changing video render again ( the previous render in first time also will work ) ... this problem happen with few channels .

4. when click on right mouse button for reason like rename,copy,cut,channel property there's no action on the place i click on it, so i must to choose channel,channel tree first by click on it by left mouse button.

5. there's an interlace between video of channels when use PIP feature even i change video render it's the same .except using Elecard decoder all things are ok .

i hope that i don't bother u Prog

just keep ur fabulous work

1)
Here in Win9x, 'Show desktop' in fact is a .SCF file, containing this code:

Code: Select all

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3

[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
May be a bit different on other Windows versions.
It is meant to minimize all windows temporarily, but it's a really old and simple routine...
ProgDVB does not exactly behave like most other applications, as it's meant to minimize to a tray bar icon by default, not to a task bar button. But you can select this in ProgDVB options.

2)
ProgDVB options again, 'Disable screen saver'

3)
There must be technical reasons for this, like a different codec used on that stations, audio or video.
Please try to find out exactly.

4)
Focus handling on ProgDVB is a bit different from most other Windows applications, as it has to adapt to the part of the GUI it's over, like the video frame, the channel list or the control bars.

All items above may still be a bit different on 5.x, as the .NET based GUI had to be rebuilt completely and is not 100% complete / perfect yet.
But Prog is continuing his work on it.
So thank you for your detailed feedback.

5) - sorry, no idea -

I think he means, deinterlacing does not work in PIP second picture, with any other codec that Elecard.

That mean is video driver not support deinterlace in more one window. You can use soft deinterlace.
