I've downloaded the latest ProgDVB Pro trial, and so far it seems to work very well, and i might consider buying a lisence, but there are two things i wonder about;

I dont get æøå (norwegian) letters in subs. Mabye the default font dont support those letters? Is it possible to change font type and size? Beside the subtitles displayed have a thin purple line around, makes it kind of ugly to look at.

When recording there is this red "recording-circle" symbol in corner.. i would like that to fade out after a few secounds, so i dont have to look at that blinking trough the whole program i'm watching. Is this possible?

1. Is it not hardmode? What subtitle type?

2. Ok, disable it did the trick But the option for "fade after 5 sec" doesnt seem to work....

When i change to danish subtitles, i get æøå, but norwegian is still messed up. And why is the subs pink/purple "shoadows"?

What about an option to change font type and size?

What Windows version and localisation, exactly?
What language is default on your system, what extra languages are activated?

BTW, the record indicator is meant as a warning, to keep users away from switching stations or closing ProgDVB or Windows during recording, visible also on a TV screen.
Specially users of SS1 cards with a hardware TV out (and no PC screen active) really need this, as error messages won't appear on those.

I'm running Vista home premium norwegian edition, 32bit.

English is enable too.

Don't know if it helps on your OS version, but perhaps try to add Turkish, as that charset seems to be the most compatible one.
That's, for example, the best way for German Windows 2000 and XP, even for watching English or French stations. But I don't get any Scandinavians here ATM.

One problem seems to be, TXT in itself only supports a limited set of languages / charsets at a time, as it has only three bits flag available for this purpose.
Makes eight choices. For this reason, TV sets' TXT decoders are preset for North, Middle, Central, South-Eastern Europe or alike.
At least that's what I've learned as a TV mechanic.
TXT system is far older than DTH satellite and DVB.

But as on DVB that's even more complicated, you should first make sure, EPG Now/Next info works fine, as even that display mechanics are involved here.

Hm, this is not easy to test, because sometimes subtitles will not show at all, and even if i get æåø it's still purple color around the letters.. how to fix that?

The OSD mechanics of your codec may cause this. Perhaps try another codec to compare.

Also look through ProgDVB's menues and options.
And perhaps also use Windows Explorer and some human curiosity.
