Trying to switch to Vista!

Wow! What a competent community is here! I have read the entire forum and used search, but could not find answers to my questions. I beleive to get help from you.

I am using now XP SP3 with ProgDVB (some older version that requires drivers with network adapter) + SS1 Technotrend + CI interface attached to my SS1 (for Tricolor TV Module) + SCS C*rd sh*ring plugin in ProgDVB.

Trying to switch to Vista: found that there are no drivers for Vista to support my SS1 with network adapter. (I don't know if I indeed need this network adapter, because I am not planning to broadcast to the other computers on the network).

Please, can you help me with advise what software and drivers should I use to switch to Vista and to keep all functionality: SS1 + CI + Prog + C*rd Sh*ring.

Thank you, Ram

Technotrend SS1 card's network can't be installed on Vista,
if you forced a installation for the virtual network card, you'll get a BSOD.

But the SS1 2.19h driver works very well on Vista SP1 (32-bit), the driver does not support 64-bit versions of XP and Vista.

Suggest to upgrade your DVB card to a Twinhan DVB-S2 card below, get ProgDVB verification.

Well, regarding "Tricolor TV Module", does this mean RGB or S-Video out via J2 interface?
There's no other hardware design providing this, nor even CVBS :(

BTW, we don't discuss c*rd sh*ring issues here. NEVER EVER.

ProgDVB should not require the TT virtual network card, at least here it never did.

Guys, thanx for replies.

Well, If I have driver 2.19h installed, which version of ProgDVB should I use to make it work?

To Juergen: I have tricolor TV CI Module. I am just watching it on my PC.

As for Cardsharing - I do not discuss it here. I only want to keep it working on Vista, that's all. Mentioning it here does not mean discussing and it will not open tremendous secrets to the distinguished community.
(Watching scrambled TV via Cardsharing is not a crime if provider does not provide support and sales on the territory).

Maybe not for your place (yet), but most of us are acting elsewhere from.

"tricolor TV CI Module", what exactly is that? Never heard that name before.
Is it a CI adaptor, like available for the SS1 / Nexus from Technotrend, or is it a video out expansion for an RGB port, or perhaps both?
"tricolor" as a brand, or as a synonym for three colours separate output signals???

Let's try to explain precisely, as this is about computer logics and hardware, not assumptions...

However, try any ProgDVB version 4.x or 5.x
If you want to play out recordings over the hardware (properly), up to 4.75 only.
