I'm unable to recieve Film 4. It appears in the channel list and the current programme is showing below where the picture should be. The picture is black and no sound either. Often I will be able to watch it after a rescan but after selecting another channel and returning to Film 4 it will resume its black screen & no sound mode.

Any ideas of what may be causing this?

Either that channel is scrambled occasionally (but if, you would surely find ECM entries in channel properties), or you are having trouble with the video resolution used there, or you don't have the correct Video and Audio IDs. Does that station change IDs, like for locals time?

Try to update the station from channel properties.

And please let people know, what satellite, provider and transponder you are talking about, or whatever else...

No, the channel is never scrambled. Film4 appears okay in the original Pinnacle software with no problem. Surely the video resolution is thae same for other channels? I don't know what you mean by "Does that station change IDs, like for locals time?" However, I've checked all the IDs with those on the Pinnacle software channel properties and they are identical.

What codecs and renderer are you using in ProgDVB?
Perhaps try another renderer.
