Problem licence Win XP and Vista

I welcome why the pro bought licence applies on windows xp and on vista the same computer doesn't work
AFAIK, one license is for one operating system on one machine.
In case of doubt, read the license agreement.
I won't, as I don't use the Pro versions here. Not supposed to help on my Nexus...
The way the hardware ID is created / handled, is supposed to to differ between XP and Vista.
If you want to change the OS, you have to re-activate.
