Hi All,

Please excuse my ignorance of this - I've stumbelled on ProgDVB alot in my research on the net and am here as a newbie on this forum.

I live in the UK and am a SKY subscriber -- am I right in thinking I can use ProgDVB and a card in a PC to watch SKY direclty there and in effect replace the sky box ?

Or would I need to take a feed from the SKY box into a PC and then be able to do this from here ?

** Please note, I'm not trying to hack anything here and I'm quite happy to continue paying for SKY and it's usage --- I'm just trying to view this in a different way **

If I can do this can I then control all functions from the PC to watch SKY and the channels etc....?

Really I'd like to set-up a media centre, dedicated PC linked to my TV for music, video and also Sat TV....

Am I on the right lines here.

Thanks,

Asbac

Is there anything like a working NDS CAM around???
And do you have a CI, where it's supposed to sit in?
And is the subscriber card already activated and proven working?

Else you may really be out of luck.
AFAIK the BSB subscriber cards get married with boxes, individually...
