"The Paramater Is Incorrect"

Hello all, new here and such....

I have installed ProgDVB using the dreaded DM04 USB Box from Leaguerme. When I go to the device list and activate it, I instantly get an abundance of pop-up error boxes that say "The Paramater Is Incorrect". It is a struggle to click through them fast enough and get the device to shut off. Does anyone know what this error refers to? While it is erroring, if I can close them fast enough it will slowly step through processes such as channel scanning and find channels, but with this happening I can't even begin to try and watch whatever channels it may find.

No ideas from anyone? I have tried updating Direct X in the hope that it was a possible problem with that since this computer was never used for any media type application before, but no luck. Googling the phrase brings up nothing specific.

Please help

To be sure, check DirectX with dxdiag.exe

Anyway, what driver(s) do you use for your tuner, exactly?
And what's the name of the device you're trying to start in ProgDVB, exactly?
What Windows version do you use, exactly?

Did you try to start the original application, that came with the hardware?

The computer has Windows XP Home with SP2 installed. The version of DirectX is 9.0 (I think, I am going from memory) downloaded just this week.

The ProgDVB device profile is provided by the manufacturer. It is called LME DVBS.device, but I did notice that the generic BDA driver in Prog does recognize the card and behave the same way. I can attach / email the provided device profile if you wish.

The driver is called LME_DVBA.sys and is also provided by the manufacturer. It is the latest version downloaded from their site. (leaguerme.com)

I have used the application that comes with the device (BlazeDTV) and it does work. I can scan and find channels with no errors.

I will try to see what I can figure out with DXDIAG, but I do not know much about it as I have never used it before.

Thanks for your help.

I just noticed one more file on my CD that may be of key importance. There is a file included with the drivers called 'tuner.ax'. Should this file be copied into one of the ProgDVB subdirectories (like the filters directory maybe)?

Check the file properties of this one, post full details.
Also mention, if this is located in some subfolder, like "devices" or "modules", "filters" or alike, on the CD, and / or inside of the original application installation on your hard disk.

Up to now, we don't really know what kind of file this is, though an .ax file normally would be a codec / filter.
And that's why we can't yet be sure, where to put it.
But in ProgDVB, there are two possibly important locations, "Filters" and "Modules". Normally it won't hurt, to place a copy into each of those, to try.

My apologies for abandoning this thread. I gave up on the computer I was using and had to wait for the new USB ports for the computer I am eventually using. Now that my parts have arrived, I had the same problem on this computer (fresh install) so I decided to go through the ProgDVB archives and download version 4.38. The card works fine with this version of PROG, so for now I will use it and see how well it performs. I am able to scan channels (one transponder at a time or it crashes) and am currently working to see if I can get a cam emulator working.

Thanks for your help.
