I can't change to non audio description because multiple audio streams can't be changed in normal version.

I don't wanna hear all my versions for people who are blind - is it possible you can allow standard people to swap audio streams so we can watch it properly?

I get this problem on BBC Three

Where is that audio description located, on the right channel of the standard stereo track or somewhere else?
You may use (any involved) balance control, to mute the right audio channel.

Stupid but true, DVB does not use bilingual flags, like available from analogue TV stereo for decades...

I'm assuming its streaming down with two channels.

When I click the note sign next to volume it shows 2 versions of English there on BBC Three and other shows similarly

Compare with channel properties.
And better post full details on that station, to make sure, we are talking on exactly the same transmission. There may be more than one version on air, even on more than one transponder, AFAIK.

But i'm not sure though because it was at 11:30pm and a repeat that this show was on. So it could of been audio descripted by default because of that.

Just wondering if you could implement a setting to turn on and off audio description - im assuming the transmission may say whether its english1 and english audio description or not.

There is only one of this channel. There are few of BBC two and bbc one but only one bbc three.

OK, you won

So I will now post the details I have, taken from channel props, updated a minute ago:

28.2°E 10773 MHz H 22000

Name capture: BBC THREE

TID: 2045
SID: 6319
PMT: 269

Video = PCR: 5200

Audio:
English: 5201, Stereo
Stream1: 5202, Stereo

So four audio channels in two streams.
Normally both audio streams have the same content.

Which audio stream are you on, 5201 or 5202?
Do you get the audiuo description on both?
Do you get that on both channels, left and right, or only on the right audio channel?

Please find out and report.
Prog himself is not supposed to get 28.2°E from Russia, so in case he needs to have full details...

I'm not sure exactly what you want me to paste but i looked at channel properties and theres 2 PIDs - does that mean i could simply change the audio streams if i want? Since thats all i really want if you can't implement -- turning off audio description setting.

Here is screenshot of channel properties:

So now we get to know it's on cable.
Sorry, but all of my extension cables are far to short to connect me to your local cable service...

Anyway, yes, you may try to use that other audio stream ID, and compare.
Channel properties should allow to change that, even if audio track switching (from the main window) is declared as a Pro feature.
And then record, and find out, if the description, if still inside, is on one channel only, normally right, or on both. Use Windwos mixer for balance control either of the (playback) input channel used or of the master output mixer channel.
Else we could not find out anything precisely...
