Elecard MPEG-2 decoder out of date - replacement?

Hey all I have a problem,

At the bottom of my progdvb window streams some text saying the elecard MPEG-2 decoder is past its trial period and needs to be bought. Is it possible to get around this either by removing the text or is there a free alternative to the decoder? I don't really want to buy the decoder and can't afford to do so.

Thanks!

You can select other decoder in settings->options->video

I am having the same problem. Changing the Video decoder in the settings does not work. The Elecard message is still there.

Any idea?

Best regards

I tried several other decoders but every time the same result.
I have v6.04.03 and WinXP on my system.

imho your nero decoder is bad registred in the system and progdvb tried to change it to dafault Elecard which is out of test period....
try to install hdpack 1.9 (google help you) and choose for example cyberlink codek in progdvb options....

@Prog:

A small dialog box with the title "ProgDvbEngine" appears once during startup: "Create filter error (Video decoder)"

If I choose the ffdshow decoder it displays
"No good input pin founded (Video decoder)"

@Talon:
Installed HDPack 1.9 successfully, but there is still the same problem,
no matter which decoder is chosen.
CyberLink is only selectable at H.264/AVC, but at MPEG-2 there is only
ffdshow, Elecard, ArcSoft and 3 x Nero.

Any other ideas?

Then your video codec not can work with ProgDVB.

Okay, and probably it is the operating system and other hardware that does not want to work with ProgDVB. Nice try!
