I've recently upgraded to the latest v6.02, and since doing so I've had a problem. I can only access a list of Russian providers - I am no longer able to access list of British & west European transmitters.
What do I do?

I don't know what these things are called as I'm not familiar with the technicalities of all thiis and the manual is very vague and only appears to address satellite providers. Also, as far as I remember, it all seems to be organised differently to the previous version, which was far more user friendly.
What I mean is that when I select the diSEqC Settings > Transponder List , there is only a list of what appears to be eastern European transponders (whatever a transponder is). On the previous version I recall calling up a list that contained a list of European 'transponders' including in my case, various transmitter locations in the UK. They are no longer there, so I can't make this v 6.02 ProgDVB work in relation to UK DVB broadcasts.
In respose to the other reply to my post,, what is a signature? I can't find any guidance of this on the website.

I found the cause of this - my Pinnacle card was not saved in the Device List. I reselected and it all worked. HOWEVER, when I restarted the program, I was now unable to receive a signal!
I checked the Device List and found my device was yet again not saved. This time, when I attempted to reselect it, it wouldn't let me! An error alert appeared saying "Run DBA graph error!" When I clicked the OK button, another alert box appeared labelled 'ProgDvbEngine' stating "Device not started! ({BDA}-Pinnacle RoyalTS Tuner)". Also, in the Device List, my device has a red cross beside it.
Why the hell does all this nonsense happen?

Try wikipedia for such unknown expressions.
However, from the user's point of view, a transponder is a transmitter, that carries various streams as a multiplexed payload, on a defined frequency and with a defined modulation method and bandwidth / data rate.
This goes for DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T as well.
