media server and playstation 3

Is it possible to use your router with progdvb media sever and stream live tv to the ps3 by any chance? 
What kind of stream would the PS3 need?
Broadcast, multicast, shoutcast or whatever else?
What resolution, frame rate, compression, packet size, GOP structure and constraining?
Transport stream or program stream?
...
All those technical parameters would have to suit, beneath others.
Then, how would you (have to) configure the client inside of the PS3?
Normally, ProgDVB media server streams out same way as the DVB streams come in. And almost any client can read those, if being told the server's network address and port.
n.b. I don't have a PS3
