I have SS1 (hardware mode) with installed prog dvb 4.56.2 and Prog media server (v2.26) works ok in my home network but after 20 minutes freezes picture on client computer. There is setting: Send current video channel in mpeg2 or mpa format. In Trafic section there is network activity and works ok in unicast protocol.

I have problem with new wersion of prog dvb v6.04std (software mode on SS1) with new prog media server v3.32, only program stream is available (TS is gone)and unicast protocol is selected but trafic is allways zero. In client window client apears only few seconds. Client computer never displays picture or produce sound. Firewall is disabled on both client and server. The link opend in i-explorer http://ip-of-server:11000/*. never play on any program (windows media player, winamp, vlc ...) How to solve my problem?

At first moden Prog Media Server request modern ProgDVB.

Both computers are using modern prog media server and progDVB application.

I am not test Media Server with ss1 very long time. This card support only PS and PS must be selected on client and server.

Program stream (PS) is selected on both PC-s. But on server in Trafic generated is allways 0. On both PC-s are installed Prog DVB 4.56.2 and Prog DVB 6.04. One PC have SS1-Server with fixed IP 192.168.1.101 and one PC client with fixed IP 192.168.1.102 subnet 255.255.255.0 an predefined server IP 192.168.1.101.


Prog DVB 4.56.2 works OK when "Send current video channel in mpeg2 or mpa format" but in new version only program stream is available but server never transmit data. http://ip-of-server:11000/channel_name*.* cannot be open with newest programs as windows Media player 11, VLC, Winamp ...

WMP not support this stream without addition plugins. You can use only ProgDVB client.

So there is no way to solve my problem? There is no way only one client to conect to stream of ProgDvb 6.04? Trafic genetated is always 0.

Yes, it is problem because SkyStar1 very only card and not support TS. Only PS. But media server not support converting from PS to WMV.

ProgDVB v6.10.2 and media server is there any option to support SkyStar 1 DVB Card only for 1 client.

Only available option in free version of ProgDVB is Program stream but is not functioning with SS1 Card. Can I use external program to watch stream for only 1 client in network? I know that SS1 has no TS capabilities but with Prog DVB 4.XX works with mpeg stream.

Difference is that new progDVB 6 works with subtitles better than Prog DVB ver 4.XX.
