Hi,

I've just installed ProgDVB latest version onto my vista x64 machine.
I'm using an Haupauge HVR4000 card.
Everything is like under my old x32 system but I don't get video.
Only the sound is playing and a black screen.
I've no idea what to do.

Tanks for your help!

Regards,

Roi Danton

Try change video render in settings->Options->Video

It looks like I can not select any other render as VMR7.
When I select another render and press OK, it looks like it changes but when I go back to the video options vmr7 render is selected.

Try change video codec or disable DXVA

Sorry, what is DXVA?
It looks like I have only the Microsoft render available.

I can not disable DXVA, Vista tells me that this is not supported by the driver.

Is it just not working under x64?

So there's nothing to disable then.

BTW, to help people on helping you, post all possibly relevant details, like what version of ProgDVB EXACTLY, what codec and similar.

I'm running 64-bit version of ProgDVB for Windows XP64/Vista64 6.05
My hardware is a haupauge hvr 4000.
I have only the Microsoft codecs available maybe this is the problem but I don't know how to install different ones.

Under the x32 I was able to install power dvd and use these codecs but this seems not to work under x64.

You are in need of 64bit codecs.
Can't help you with this, as I don't have such a system here.

Anyone else here who can?

try x64 version of ffdshow -> http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

I tried the ffdshow but it didn't show up in progdvb.

I am the only one using progdvb under x64?
Why is there a x64 version of progdvb without a codec?

I have installed now the x32 bit version of progdvb on my x64 system and it works.
In the settings are now all the encoders I have installed. It looks like the x64 version of progdvb has no mpeg2 video decoder for x64 so it is still not able to work.

Yes, x64 version of ProgDVB not include any codecs.
