Hi!

I recently started using ProgDVB. I'm running 6.06 on a Vista Ultimate x64. I've got a Hauppauge Nova S plus DVB-S card in my machine and this works quite ok.

Unfortunately I've got problems recording DVB streams. I'm programming using the EPG and using the Windows scheduler to start ProgDVB. Sometimes I've got the recording on my hard disk and sometimes there's no recording at all. It's absolutely unpredictable and I don't have a clue how to troubleshoot this.

It seems that also in cases where the recording is missing, the scheduler has started ProgDVB correctly and the proper channel has been selected, but anyway, no recording is there.

Any ideas? Or any troubleshooting hints?

Is it free channel?

Yes, it's a free channel. With the same channel, sometimes it's working sometimes it doesn't. For example I experienced this with the German kids TV channel KiKa, where I'm trying to record some cartoon episodes for my little daughter.

May be request more time for lock channel. You can try add one more record evert in scheduler.

I tried having ProgDVB running already with the proper channel already selected. Again, success is not predictable. Sometimes it's doing the recordings fine and sometimes it doesn't. I had such a case this afternoon.

Are there any logs where recording activities got noted?

BTW, Windows' Task Planner tells me that task execution completed succesfully this afternoon.

Also something I noted when I checked couple of minutes ago: ProgDVB was running minimized, right channel was selected but TV picture frozen (selecting any channel made ProgDVB continue displaying the TV stream again).

Anybody with another idea?
