Audio description is an additional commentary describing whats happening on the TV for blind and partially sighted peopleURL LINK

On my TV freesat box, you can turn it off by pressing the "AD" button on the remote, but on the PC using ProgDVB i can't stop the
additional commentary.

I think it's a 3rd audio channel thats transmitted on some TV shows
so i think ProgDVB is receiving this extra sound channel when its transmitted.

Audio description normally is on the right audio channel of the main stereo stream. Receivers may (but not must) be equipped with an audio channel selector, that allows to select between left and right audio channel. Else users would normally select by use of the balance control or A/B audio selector on their TV.

As there is no flag for audio description transmissions, there's no way to select automatically, but keep normal stereo uneffected. So any user selection would theoretically have to be dropped after a channel or event change.

You can mute right channel in channel properties.
