get ARD and not much more

Have got a dish with 2 LNBs, tight together, one looking for astra, the other one watching hotbird. a bundle of 8 cables is fed to the satmatrix ems 9/6. two ordinary digital satreceivers (technisat) work pretty well, receive lots of programs with good quality.
I tried to setup a hauppauge WinTV/Nexus-S/2.2 with TT 2.19h on my homepc and a TT connect S-2400 USB 2.0 box connected to a Thoshiba Notebook. For this pupose I installed prgDVB 6.10.01, no plugins, no modules. The result in both installations is the same: I get ARD and a few others nearby, yet no ZDF, no ARTE etc. whatever searches I start. So I am convinced there must be something wrong in my settings - and I confess - I don't understand much about all that DiseqC - Stuff.
Please, can anyone tell me which switch/LNB setting I have to do, where an how.
BTW, ORF-receiving with ProgDVB works pretty well with a simple and cheap Hofer (Aldi)-Stick
Thanks Max

To get started, first forget about DiSEqC and find out, what position ist the first one on that multiswitch system. Your other tuners will surely tell you this. Set up a single LNB system for this one, DiSEqC = none.
Then find out. if you are getting all transponders (not just a few stations) from it, both bands.
Let us know your results in detail.
You can set up with DiSEqC later. Even then, your other tuners can tell you about proper DiSEqC control.

Hi Juergen - back and testing
after installing ProgDVB 6.10.01 i went to
Settings - Device List
found there
(BDA) USB 2.0 BDA DVB-S Tuner
after activating (BDA) USB 2.0 BDA DVB-S Tuner
Properties where told to be as:
Diseq commands (support diseq 1.2)
Options Dialog
Disable power on LNB
CAM interface
Transport stream
Full transport stream
22KHz control
after activating "empty" in the tree beyond (BDA) USB 2.0 BDA DVB-S Tuner
added a LNB:
- KU-band
- Power: checked/unchecked
- LOF1: 9750
- Switch: 11700
- LOF2: 10600
selected out of list:
- Sat: 0192 Astra 1F,1H,1KR,1L,1M with "00"
finished with all these settings I tried:
Channel list - scan transponder
selected Astra 1F,1H,1KR,1L,1M
pressed LOCK and SCAN
"Level" looks as frozen at about 39%
"Qualitiy" empty (white space)
nothing else happend regardless of the "Power" checkbox
any further ideas - please
thankx Max

Regarding the Nexus, get started with the original software from Technotrend. If that also does not work, you are supposed to have basic trouble with machine or OS.
For the USB device, you seem to not have a suitable driver on your system, or selected the wrong device. Normally the device for ProgDVB shows a name, that somehow refers to the hardware used. Also here, try the original software, to get started.

There are no troubles with machine or OS
I started with the original drivers
strange is that
when connected directly to one of the lnb-cables i get 100% level and nearly 100% quality - same with all 8 cables for astra and hotbird.
for me it looks like the program does not send the correct command to the switch.

Now, what tuner are you talking about, the Nexus or the other one?
ProgDVB does not have any trouble with DiSEqC on my Nexus here.
However, the position switching method depends on the switch.
Read it's manual once more, and compare related settings with the Technisat receivers mentioned.

The Nexus refuses all attempts to behave decently, whatever i do. Meanwhile i installed the new drivers ver 2.19 ... and installed a linux-vdr. The latter one finds the card, level ist about 50%, qualitiy very poor with 30% max

((
The other one, a "TechnoTrend TT connect S-2400 USB 2.0" connected to my notebook and (of course) to the same antenna works almost perfectly. The only strange thing: the sound is FAR in front of the picture, that means, while the sound has already ended for some seconds - not only one, SOME seconds - the speaker's mouth on the screen is still moving

)) Might be an effect of delayed watching. Is there a possibilty to stop this behavior?
As for the Nexus: i will take it out of the machine, start the machine without and try to really remove-delete-destroy all kind of software belonging to it. Then build it up all over once more. Do you have a better idea? BTW ma machine is Scenic i845.
Thanks Max

You may have read my signature, I've got the same platform for my Nexus, Scenic W = i845GE. P4 1800 MHz. No issues at all, even if my Nexus shares IRQ 11 with several onboard devices (sound, SMBus, USB2, LAN) and more.
Sits in PCI#2.
Drivers are TT 2.19h.
Both HW and SW mode are working fine.
