Hi,
Thank you very much for your answer... I've try to re install Progdvb (V4.80 and an older version) but the following message is now displayed :" Device not started " ...
Do you have any idea about what i should do ?
Even in the settings panel, device couldn't be started (LNB settings = OK).
The Skystar 2 card work properly with the Technisat soft.
Thank you very much for your help

Not much..because the card is running as a network device ..check and adjust your Firewall Settings (also included XP Firewall)...
I closed all skystarproducts in my taskmanager
so progdvb should works..try to start skystar 2 device after start of progdvb in the device list...

I just installed ProgDVB and I get the same error, Device Not started !
Skystar 1 over TT Hard Mode [Card 1], when it starts. Then when I try to scan a transponder it freezes.
This piece of crap doesn't work and there's no support is there?

I got rid of the Device Not started error by uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it still won't scan any transponders!

What do you want, free pizza and beer with it?
SS1 based cards are working fine with ProgDVB, here and for many thousands of other users.
There's an announcement thread on bug reports and other complaints, please start to read there.
Full details on your dish set, LNB(s) and bird(s) used, switch(es) if existing, and on all your relevant settings, including LNB / DiSEqC controls. And precise description of what's happening.
BTW, does the original application work? Which version?
Else no way to help you, sorry.

Could you make that pepperoni please?
Actually I finally did get it to scan but it takes so long that I thought
it must be freezing and I gave up before it finished.
Also, DBVviewer can play the PBS HD channel in 1920x1080 with sound
but ProgDVB is so slow that all I got was a series of jerky stills.
Is there some way to speed it up by something like 100X, otherwise
it just not going to work out?

Pepperoni beer, oh my god
Regarding the HD 1080 issue, compare all codec and renderer settings.
Can't help more on this, as my machine won't do HD at all.

I have a skystar 2 and I am getting the same problem "device not started!" - skystar2 I have no other dvb programs open and ALTdvb and dream dvb work fine. I installed the drivers manually in devices and not by running the install exe if that makes any difference.
