Peoria, IL but I am trying internet tv only, so I am not sure why that matters?
I have tried every country and channel in the list but get nothing?

I noticed after deinstalling and reinstalling at least a little blue box pops up after I click a channel then error displays at bottom of program box.
Hope that is enough information.

Are you sure, your internet service provider allows this kind of traffic?
Some like to block general Internet TV, to sell Internet TV access separately, as part of Triple Play services.

Please stop with the generic answers. I guess you did not see I am on public IP with all ports OPEN and all traffic allowed I am my own ISP also have my own os3 that I am hooked to this morning. It is something in the software. I dont understand why you would ask a technician if the computer was plugged in? LOL

So why would you give generic answers like this:

...and won't include the details you've got from there???
Or did it by chance not tell ANYTHING else but the word "ERROR"?

Well, why should I care

I would advise that you use the firmware for the region where the television was intended for. If you have further questions, unfortunately I have to suggest that you call the Samsung Customer Service Support center in your area. They'll be able to assist you further for your particular unit.

The regions can differ, so the local service people can speak best to your region, moreso than I can. I appreciate your understanding.

What firmware, what (Samsung) television???

We are discussing computer software related issues here.
ProgDVB would not run inside of any TV set, as it requires Windows.
And ProgDVB is what this board is dedicated to.

I have the same problem too or, better, some different problems using Internet TV:
-On some channels "Connecting" is shown forever
-On some channels "Connecting" is followed after a variable time by "Error"
-On some channels.finally, show "Buffering" but the screen remains black.

While for the last one, it looks may be one codec is missing, and in this case, a message stating which one is missing would be nice, in the first two cases, *may be* something is wrong with the site or the connection. Unfortunately the lack of any information about ProgDVB behavior is no-help for the user to solve problems by itself.

Some questions:
-How is the list of available channels built? (loaded during ProgDVB install or dynamically got?)
-Is the appearance of the second line (Comment?) and "icon" following the channel name an indication it was really found and "working"?
-Is it possible to know someway the name/IP address we are going to connect?
-Any way to know details of the status line message "Error"?

I feel that the "Debug" mode and "Filter manager" are useless in this circumstance, isn't it?

I strongly believe a better documentation (may be I don't know where to look for it?) and diagnostic may avoid threads and discussions like this: I am a technician too, but I feel useless without knowledge of design and diagnostic tools!

Every installer of ProgDVB have new list. Error, usually mean connection error.
Also you can start ProgDVB with /Debug key for more information about errors.

Dear Prog, may be you read only the first line of my post! Follows:

-Is the appearance of the second line (Comment?) and "icon" following the channel name an indication it was really found and "working"?

For instance, in Italy, I see "Rete 4". After some time, below that line, I see "Altrsi scritto Retequattro e' un canale...."
Question: is this an indication ProgDVB conneted somewhere?

-Is it possible to know someway the name/IP address we are going to connect?

I could traceroute or ping if I know what to do

-Any way to know details of the status line message "Error"?

Under "Debug" MenuItem, I just see "Filter manager". In the left pane, I see 128 lines stating #xxx pid 8191:0.
In the right pane, I just see the message hh:mm:ss Change Channel "chennel name".
How can I get more info from debug?

1. I am not understand, what icon you mean. Please send picture.
2. No. URL is crypted.
3. Impossible in current version. But it is connection error.
