Multiple Nexus Satellite Cards

Hi
Is it possible to use multiple (2) Nexus Card with ProgDVB?
I have a PC who i would like to use as TV-Server with 2 Nexus Satellite Cards installed.
Both Cards are working and are visible in the Device List as
Sky Star1 over TT - Hard mode [card 1]
Sky Star1 over TT - Hard mode [card 2]
Sky Star1 over TT - Soft mode [card 1]
Sky Star1 over TT - Soft mode [card 2]
Because of low CPU-Load i prefer to use them in Hard mode.
First Problem:
When i enable a second Device (does not depend in Hard or Soft mode), ProgDVB stops corresponding or two error messages are displayed:
1. Name of the Message: SkyStar1TT
Message: BoardControl.EnableDataDMA not successful.
2. Name of the Message: Error
Message: [Sky Star1 over TT - Hard mode [cardX]] Device not started !
Second Problem:
When i use Soft mode, no Picture is shown.
I have installed ProgDVB with Elecard, but when i open Elecard Registrator, the Window is empty.
Driver Version is 2.19h
ProgDVB Version is 6.25.1Std
Thanks in advice.
Kind regards

Never had two of those tuners here, so I could not test.
Someone else over here, who does
Anyway, at least from Linux VDR it's known, even more of that tuners can run at the same time.
But there may be some conditions to fulfill, like separate INT #s, i.e. separate physical (neither BIOS plug&play managed nor Windows emulated) IRQs below 15. Also IRQ sharing with some other devices may bring trouble, even with various onboard components.

I have the two cards now on separate IRQs (10 and 11) and still get the errormessages. But because i want to use them at the same time, i made it now like this, that i installed ProgDVB two times, and now i can let them running both together, but i get only Picture on ProgDVB i started first. I think, this is because of Hard mode / synchronisation but it doesnt matter, because i want to use the streaming functionality. When i connect with a client i can get the program list, but i get no video or audio, the client just says "connecting".
How can i check with vlc if the stream is generated or not?

If I remember well, Prog wrote some time ago, VLC is not supported by Prog Media Server.

Hi Jürgen
Thanks for your reply.
How can i check, why my client cant connect to the stream?
Are you still using your nexus?
Do you use the streaming functionality?
Is it possible to generate a stream with the nexus in Hard mode?
What is necessary?
Do you know why vlc is not supported?
Question over question.
Kind regards

Occasionally I did stream to my second machine, using Prog Media Server and client. This can be done with the server on a machine in HW mode.
The client is pure software, of course.
Though, theoretically it might be possible, to feed the DSP part of a(nother) SS1 with such streams, by use of a modified driver. Like Linux VDR does, to enable timeshift in plain HW mode. Such an interface, like used for tape monitor in analog audio days, in fact exists on the SS1 hardware, but the stupid original Windows drivers don't support this.
Of course I am using the Nexus as my default tuner. I love it's video out, as it's feeding my AV-receiver and big screen, when I'm using my computer screen for other things, like surfing the net. And it is also used as digital video recorder and player frequently.
One day, I'd really like to have something similar in DVB-S2, HDTV and HDMI. Always preferring to use a nice DSP of around 10 Watts, instead of a greedy giant CPU and / or GPU, eating ten times or more of energy.
No idea, why ProgDVB has problems with VLC. Guess, only Prog could tell more...

Hi Jürgen
I now made several test with older versions, and with Version 5.16.2 remote viewing and channel changing is working, but i had to take the ProgMediaServer.module from the Pro edition, the one in the Std edition is not working.
I think, in the newest versions 6.25 is another problem. It seems that elecard is not installed with the setup.
And now to the VLC problem:
In this thread
viewtopic.php?t=3942 Prog is telling in the last post that vlc is not supported, but every other Player should work. I tried to play the stream with Windows Media Player but didnt get it working.
