ProgDVB crashes

I was using myTeVii, but it is not very comfortable. Last week i buyed ProgDVB pro. I hoped, that this program would work more comfortable with the TV card (TeVii S470) and with the antenna rotor (Stab HH-120).

Until now ProgDVB is not able to work properly. I can't use it.

1. It does not find satellites properly using Usals. I can not see or hear any program without much reception errors. The myTevii software does find all interesting satellites properly. I fear, the Usals computation of ProgDVB does not work properly.

2. As soon as i have scanned a couple of satellites (that is after some hours) and i try to copy the channels of all these satellites into the folder „All channels“, ProgDVB crashes. It writes:

„Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication zhat other memory is corrupt.“

From now the „All channels“ folder does not exist any more. Clicking Continue or Quit makes no difference. I made deinstallation and reinstallation and these scanning actions four times. Every time ProgDVB crashed while copying into „All channels“.

Other applications did not crash on this computer until now.

Because i can't access all channels comfortably through one folder, and the rotor is not moved precisely by ProgDVB, the program is not usuable at the moment. Did anybody have similar problems? Is there any hope that the software will properly work one day?

First of all, it would have been a pretty good idea, to test ProgDVB, pro or not, before making a buy.

Then, if you want to have stations from various positions in just one list, create a favourites list, copy stations there to. This allows full manual sorting and grouping.

It's also possible, to set the properties of a dynamic list, to show more than one position.

But heavily editing the original (dynamic) lists is not really a good idea, as this can cause severe database trouble. And your changes may get overwritten on the next scan. That's why favourite lists were introduced.

However, a motorized dish requires enough size and perfect alignment, to give reliable results. Else bad reception would be normal...
