What am I doing wrong ?

Hi,

I've got a Terratec Cinergy 1200 DVB-S card (without CI) that I want to use on my Desktop to watch some FTA channels.

I've got ProgDVB installed and I was able to set it to use the Card (I'm running Windows 7 at the moment).

But... I cannot get it to find channels (well it only finds like 18 channels and even the FTA channels don't have audio or video).

The LNB I have is a "special" one designed to allow you to receive both Astra 1 (19,2E) and Astra 3 (23,5E) IIRC.

I tried with the DiseqC option (1.0 with 4 ports) I tried Simple and the 22Khz tone.

With the simple and tone options I get some channels (the 18 orso mentioned above) but only sound on 1 FTA radio station.

Does anybody know what might be the problem here ? (I also tried swapping the location so I put Astra1 on position 1 (A) of the DiSecQ and on position 2 (B) which doesn't seem to do anything.

Anybody here who can point me in the right direction.

Are you really sure, your Monoblock LNB is pointing correctly and it's focal and angular distances suit your dish?

If in doubt, perhaps try to verify with another tuner, like with a set top box.

If pointing correctly, mixing up the positions would still allow to tune to a multitude of transponders, as many transponders used have identical tuning parameters on both.

Most modern Monoblocks use DiSEqC 1.0, first two positions, but it's manual / data sheet might tell you more...
