am facing weird problem and wish someone could help me,
I have Technisat Skystar 2 running on Q6600 and 2 Gb ram DDR3, windows vista ultimate 32 Bit.
Running ProgDVB 6.42.5 Pro along with several H.264 Codecs (Divx, ffshow, CoreAVC 2.0), tried also Elecard AVC PlugIn for ProgDVB but its not appearing in the list for H.264 Codec.
the problem is : some HD channels like Al-jazeera Sport+1 HD working very fine. on (Divx, CoreAVC 2.0), and doesn't
work on (ffshow) it decode a picture with 80% in gray color!.
anyway, the strange thing that only Al-jazeera Sport+1 HD is working on (Divx, CoreAVC 2.0), but other channels like in (sky italia, CYFRA+) (all HD channels in these providers are not work!, only black screen appear and the is no sound also.

Notice, I know all of these channels are paid tv and I have valid subscription for it

At first, try start with /Debug key. Do you have error message?

I've tried strating with /debug, and found that I was haveing an error in sound codec, but I've solved it

but when try to watch HD channel no error is givin and I still got back screen

No, its not free channels and I have valid subscription for them. HD channels included.

I tried my subscription on HD receiver and its worked perfectly

What DVB device? Technisat Skystar 2 not have CI.

Am using sharing with Acamd from my personal server

At first look traffic in audio/video in Debug->Filter manager. may be plugin not work.

I've done what u asked and the results came strange and interesting..

upon recording and playback, I got a picture, but not for the channel, cause no mater what HD channel am watching, am receiving the same video

its like and advertisement or something, I've attached a screen shot.
if i am correct, its says that decoding HD require a special decoder from the provider

the strange thing is, I was able to watch these channels on my friend receiver "ICOM" which support card sharing normally and without any problem

is it possible that a normal receiver beat PC and decode channels that need special decoder??
I think ProgDVB need a serious update Prog

This is NOT a matter of receivers vs. software.
It's normal for some providers, to get a specific info screen instead of black screen, if not being able to decrypt.
Also happens on several Spanish pay TV stations, that aren't even tagged as such.

maybe u r right, but then again, if you read my entire thread, i think you will share my point of view.
I am fully ready to receive and watch HD (codecs, hardware, monitor), and I successfully did that on individual channels like Jazeera sport, Dream HD, MTV HD, but am facing the blank screen when trying HD channels from (sky italia, CYFRA+).


and whether this is a codec problem or a decoder problem, am still can't watch on PC, while my friend receiver did the job.

I did read the whole thread. Part of my mod duties, of course...

Anyway, getting the clear table instead of the protected pay content means, something should be wrong with your decrypting mechanics, which way ever.
But I can't really help in detail there, as I don't have any Pay TV sub. And besides, I don't have a HD tuner for my computer, using a cheap, small and energy saving PVR-ready STB for (FTA only) HD instead.

I have the answer to your problem ,and it's as simple as you are not able to watch HD (DVB-S2) channel , you are able to see Aljazeera sport HD ,Dream HD , HD suisse because all these channels belong to DVB-S channels,and Skyitalia HD + Cyfra HD belong to DVB-S2 channels.

i had like you Skystar 2 , and i wasn't able to see HD channel ,if you need them you have to buy another satellite receiver like Skystar HD2 or another brand .
