You may as well want to keep a copy of your "DiseqTree.ini" and in case "ProgDVB.ini", to safe your settings.
Or just copy the whole folder structure, of course without the "Record" subfolder.

Well, such a copy won't register codecs automatically, nor would it bring hardware drivers.
And record paths may be an issue, as normally you would not want to record to a portable drive, and perhaps neither to a system drive like C:

For me, using a tuner with hardware decoder, ProgDVB in fact works portable like for years now.
I have three windows installations on my system, 98SE, 2000 and XP, and I am sharing many applications between them.
But this requires strict compatibility, of course, often does not allow to use the latest versions (any more).

Thanks a lot for your help and i suggest that ProgDVB team can release a small tool that help us to take backup of plug-ins and channel folders for beginner users ...

Code: Select all

backup of plug-ins and channel folders for beginner users ...

this is like making a copy of any other folder on your harddisk ...just drag and drop ...

and there is already a special tool for this ....called windows explorer ...
