I suggest you fix the prog version, as it takes a lot of time to test and conclude if you or the Progdvb that has the bug.
But i tested the 6.42.6 version and found it with fewer problems. Those 6.43, .44, .45 cant be even fully tested, they crash windows a lot.
We would ask Prog to do a "Stable" version and keep cleaning this, instead of releasing new versions that dont correct old bugs (some are historic), but add new ones.

What problem you have?
ps: ProgDVB very depended from system and codecs. Lot of peoples not have any problems with ProgDVB. But of course I have bad reports also.

Prog works, but the problems vary with version.
Some old are with the channel list for example:
-channels cant be deleted, after you delete a problematic channel if you do a rescan it will not be re-added;
- renumbering a list has problems, it generates some duplicated numbers, you only find this when using remote control, as it prevents advancing channels.
Stability Mode, it seems useless and generates more problems (about 7 minutes wait to let use Progdvb again).
Pip is sometimes problematic too. As I said, it takes some days trying a specific version to take conclusions, and thats why we ask for a "stable version".

1. Edit->Undelete or create new list?
2. What numeration mode you use?
If you have crashs then then at first must sure about signal quality. If traffic damaged then possible crash DirectShow codecs.
ps: Last versions in stable.

Lets answer the topic matter.
Using 6.45.1, i get very good stability with codecs under.
The best demux is Cyberlynk, the second is Microsoft.

- Audio codecs

- Video codecs

- Demux page
Use Win7-32, Ati 4550 video card.

1. Custom EVR not most stable renderer. try EVR or EVR9.
2. Start with /Debug. Do you have any error messages?

Thanks for posts. I finally found a combo for me, which is not perfect, but it works (i still have breaks and silence in audio renderer = audio crack from time to time).
EVR and Directsound: Speakers
Video - Elecard MPEG2, DivX H264
Audio - Elecard Audio, AC3Filter
...also MS DTV decoders can be used, but changing channels is slower.
I can´t use Cyberlink decoders, video stutters after a while, I can´t use AC3Filter for MPEG audio, I can´t use CoreAVC (stutters). I can´t use waveoutput - sync problems....so many non-usable. I wouldn´t ask and wonder, if they wouldn´t work perfect in other DVB softs.
Marec - what version of Arcsoft codec do you use? That one from TMT3 are somehow blocked, even after registering in directshow and selecting in ProgDVB - I have no picture (MS DTV is used instead).
And...some combinations of filters and renderes give me different framerate in video renderer.
DivX H264 + EVR = 25
Cyb. PDVD10 + EVR = 50
ffdshow + EVR = 25
MS DTV + EVR = 50
Is that ok?

I use the Dvbsupport 2.4 pack. If you use it, dont install the Cyberlynk demux, as it breakes the internal Cyberlink of Progdvb.
Do you tested the Prog demuxer? (i not tested yet).

I don´t use any packs, just standalone filters. I do have PDVD10 installed, but after your advice few days ago, I un-registered cyb. demuxer. ProgDVB now uses own internal and it is much better. Second best is Microsofts. I haven´t tested Prog demuxer yet, still have 6.44 version.
Would be cool to know all dependencies, and why some filters don´t work correctly.

Prog - could you add support for Haali´s splitter? I have very good experience with it handling H264 and mpeg2 content. Would this be possible?

Haali not support push mode.

So, found codecs combination, which works for me, but I still have sound problems - cracks after a while. Too many breaks and silence in renderer. Mostly on music channels. Using Audigy 2 Plt. Ex. Doesnt matter of audio filter selected (MPEG Audio Decoder, Elecard Audio Decoder, MS DTV Audio, AC3Filter...) This happens on:
- Default Directsound Device
- Directsound: Speakers (Creative SB Audigy 2)
- Speakers (SB Audigy 2)
I cannot use Default WaveOutput - with this I have no cracks, but audio un-sync after a while.
It looks like this (default directsound device):
I noticed, that sometimes "rate" mentioned in renderer stops at 47400 or 48600 and doesn´t move anymore. This should balance around 48000 to keep "err" at 0.
Now, if I look at renderer in other players (DVBV, DD, MPC-HC etc.) and I have also selected "default directsound device + the same filters, I see this:
No values and no cracks or audio sync problem.
You might say - change that old soundcard, but it works well everywhere alse. I tried also RealtekHD with the same result. So where´s the problem?

Do you have a second hd to test Windows?
I say that why I was using win xp, with many ploblems in Progdvb, but I formated my hd and installed win 7, and most of the problems gone. I think Windows was corrupted, but was still working.
