problems with channels Five, BBC3 and BBC4 [v6.4]

I've just installed ProgDVB on my quad core XP PC and all seems to be working (on freesat)
However, channel Five is listed as NOT free (when I know it is) and BBC3 and BBC4 are missing from the list.
Any ideas anyone?

Just tested on BBC FOUR and found it missing now on both tuners, my Nexus and my STB.
Seems to have left the transponder, where on I used to find it before, 10773 H 22000
And now I also can't find it on satlookup.com
No idea what happened.

BBC THREE is still fine here on 10773 H 22000
So is FIVE there. No crypt flag there on, for me...

Else, what channel "Five" (or "channel 5" or whatever else) are you talking about?
Please provide us with precise station name capture, transponder and essential IDs.

p.s.
Well, kingofsat.net seems to be a quick and reliable source. They have updated on 2010-10-18
Just found BBC FOUR listed on 10803 H 22000 now
Obviously BBC have shuffeled around quite a few of their stations, but as I'm not interested in all the locals normally, I did not notice yet.
BBC FOUR seems to be the only GB wide station effected.

Searching satlookup.com is useless, as they are missing half of the 28.2°E transponders, even if I set my location to London there

Just checked for Channel Five and the single unlocked version is there - my mistake (I'm new to ProgDVB). I'll see if I can find the channel data for BBC3 and 4.

Nope, I've just scanned the channels you gave and no joy. Did a complete scan again, still no BBC3 & 4 (not in lost channels list either).

Peculiar, because other progs like DVBViewer and DVBDream have no problems detecting them.

So why don't I use them? DVBDream, for my system, records 2KB files only and DVBViewer just disappears off the screen after a few minutes!!!

Do you get ANYTHING on the transponders mentioned, 10773 H 22000 and 10803 H 22000 ?

Perhaps scan each one manually once, make screen shots of the results and upload them.
This way people might compare.

Keep in mind, BBC THREE and BBC FOUR may transport cbbc and similar content and logos at day time (like right now).
But the station name captures don't change.

You were right; I scanned the 2 transponders you gave after 7pm and the 2 children's channels were replaced by BBC3 and BBC4.
Apologies for not spotting this sooner and thankyou for your help.

BBC3 and BBC4 exist as CBBC and CBeebies during the day (after 7.00pm they become BBC3 and BBC4) so you may have found them but not realised it. Unfortunately my BBC4 has vanished and I cannot find it. Any suggestions?

Still on 10803 H 22000

The name is "BBC FOUR", not "BBC4".
When dealing with computer based issues, let's better be precise.
There's no Boolean equivalent for "or alike"...

You probably are aware by now that BBC changed transponders last week, but just in case:

On October 18th @ 0500h BBC 1 NI, BBC 2 NI, BBC 4, BCeebies will move transponder. BBC 1/2 NI will move to 10,8175 Vert. BBC4/CBeebies will move to 10,80275 Horz.

Info from
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthre ... 2056059955

Speculation is that this is to make room for BBC1 HD:

BBC One HD, November 3rd, 10,847 Vert.

Lot of people had problems with BBC3/4 and CBeebies etc. - some boxes had to be "tuned" twice - before and after 7 p.m. - to get the shared channels properly. Also Channel 5 was a problem for some people - don't know why.

The Irish forum on boards.ie :

http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=55
discusses Freesat (BBC ITV etc.) a lot.

Hope this helps.
db.

BBC One HD now testing at 10.847V 22.0 5/6 under banner 6941.
