Hi,

I'm using ProgDVB for a longer time. But since the last 4 versions of it I have the in the topic called problem.

I've got a signal from 100%, but the quality is 0%.

Actually I'm running ProgDVB in version 6.49.04 as registered professional. But I also tried older versions, and if I use ProgDVB 5.x it works. But there I can't register with my Key.

Following settings I tried

• Settings - TV Source - BDA -> Disable Use ITunerRequest/Demux/TIF
• Settings - TV Source - BDA - Additional API -> Microsoft compliant BDA Driver, Generic BDA, Auto [Microsoft]

My Hardware:

• CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
• Ram: 4x 2048 MB Samsung (6400)
• Graphiccard: ATI Radeon 4800
• OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
• TV-Card: Pinnacle PCTV 400 PCI

If I use DVBDream or other software I don't have any problems - except that I won't pay for DVBDream 'cause I have a ProgDVB Key bought

So, I hope this are all datas you need.

PS: I'm using my TV-Card with the satellite dish, not with a DVB aerial. But this never was a problem.

The latest included with 6.49.04 does not work at all.

The latest workable bda.device is dated 24/9/10 and reports the file version 2.11[1.37]

My card is TBS 8920.

Symptoms with intervening BDA.device files since 2.11 are
1 Inability to tune to some channels without repeated attempts. When it fails to tune you get L 100%, Q 0%
2 video image jumps/breaks every few seconds on some channels. This is also present on recorded programs.

v2.11 has no stuttering but occasionally does not tune to some channels.

same problem here. I though it was my diseqc but now i can understand why scan was always working but thought switching channels was not/never working...
Would be great to have this working again:)

So, it seems to be solved.

Because my ProgDVB 5-Version run out of trial period I started the V6 and I was directly asked if I want to update.

My ProgDVB won't work, so let's have a try. And look there, it works again

I get signal about 70% and, even more important, a quality of nearly 100%

I didn't change anything on my system or my ProgDVB Config, so it seems to be a problem with the last releases.

From my side the topic can be marked as fixed or closed - I don't find a button for that

I have a full registered version of Progdvb and it still doe snot work.
Level is 0100 %, quality 0 %.
I get channel properties working and even updating, but still quality 0 %.
Latest version is the same.
mytheater works perfectly...
I have windows 7 64 bits and Progdvb Pro 32 bits...
anyone with a solution
Transponder scan works fine, updating channels works fine.
But Quality 0 on each channel...
Any suggestions?

If I try to use your postet BDA.DEVICE ProgDVB crashes on start.

The event log just says that a unknown module killed it

Any problem in last ProgDVB version?

Without the file I don't get a quality level, with the file I have to test.

Get the following error-message if I use your BDA.DEVICE

Unbehandelte Ausnahme bei 0x1fbbc757 in ProgDvbNet.exe: 0xC0000005: Zugriffsverletzung beim Lesen an Position 0x000000000000003c.

In english:

Unhandeled Exeption at 0x1fbbc757 in ProgDvbNet.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation by reading position 0x0000000000000003c.

after a long time of searching for a solution I found this thread and now I hope anybody could help me.

I have a very similar problem like Phobius described in his first post.

Until Progdvb Version 6.49.04 everything was working fine.

Now, with any other or newer version it’s not possible to view any Astra 19,2 TV Station.

Here my symptoms:

- Level is 100%
- Quality is 0%
- Time is correct
- EBG is working fine
- No Audio
- After performing a New Search for TV-Channels all Astra channels are lost or missing

I’ve done many changes in configuration but nothing makes the system working again. The only workaround I could use, is to restore an older Version of ProgDVB e.g. 6.49.04

my System:

- Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
- Pinnacle PCTV 450i with latest Vendor-Driver

I hope anybody could assist me.

Do you use bda.device? TBS selected in properties?

Yes i use BDA Decive, nothing other i'm able to select. ProgDvb selects this device automaticaly at first start. I only have to add the satellite.

Here my settings.
I also tried all other TBS Settings with no resolution

Is it pinncle? Try select MS or technotrend mode.

i did some more tests and now it's working!

The resolution is to check the box "Don't start more than one device" or in German "Nicht mehr als ein Gerät zuselben Zeit starten".

After i installed the last working version 6.2.45 again, i checked the settings there. Then i saw that the box ist cheched in this version by default. In the following versions you have to check this box by yourself.

Now ProgDVB is working fine with this box checked and the MicrosoftBDA selected.
