Multi satellite recording

When using the scheduled record feature, is it possible to delay the start of a recording until after the dish has moved to the correct satellite. At the moment the program starts to record before or while the dish is moving resulting in nothing being recorded even after the dish has reached its correct position.

You are correct, position change takes time, on some nasty DiSEqC switch systems as well.
[off topic]I did not test modern ProgDVB schedulers for quite some time, because instead of the computer system, I am using my PVR ready STB these days, that uses far less electrical power.[/off topic]
The older versions I had been using for years, all included an automatic delay for record start after channel select, of exactly five seconds, relating in the first seconds of the recording getting lost.
But this wasn't the only problem, as due to some tunes occasionally required the option to retune if lost signal, frequently recordings did not work, like in your case, as that retune procedure also won't be finished within that five seconds.
That's why I always edited scheduler entries manually, to change station like five minutes early.
So, the better way would surely be, to make the scheduler automatically switch the channel early, for as user selectable number of seconds, up to one or two minutes before the timer event. Then the record start should happen exactly at the given time.
A record pre run timing won't help here, as this could not make sure, the positioning / switching procedure was finished before.

Hello Juergen, thanks for the reply.
Would it not be possible to start the recording once the DiSEqC countdown (shown at the base of the screen) has reached 0 seconds?
