Hi,

I am using ProgDVB since a while without problem with multiple version.
Everything was fine up to 6.63.8. With update to 6.63.9 I had no picture no sound. Same for 6.63.10. Reinstalling 6.63.8 made it work again.

All installs over previous version, no deletes. Including downgrade.

What feature was added to break my system? Any additional setting to make?

My setup:
AMD Athlon PC,
Win XP SP3
Nvidia 7600GT graphics, (drv 6.14.11.7470)
Hauppauge WinTV DVB-T card, (drv 2.122.26109.0)
ffmpeg decoder

I can confirm the same problem. I am using free versions. Versions 6.63.9 and 6.63.10 does not work with my Hauppauge HVR-1300 card. There is no sound and no picture, scan does not find any DVBT channel. After downgrade to version 6.63.8 everything works fine.

I can confirm it is the same problem with Hauppauge HVR-4400 even on sat channels.....

1. Do you have signal?
2. Please check Settings->Device options. Hauppauge and "use only one tuner" must be selected.
Also please try change Use TunerRequest in same dialog.

1. Signal is OK, after downgrade to version 6.63.08 everything works fine
2. I did not find "use only one tuner" option. But there is option "not start more one device at once". I selected it, but it does not help and I could not run device options again. With this setting does not work neither version 6.63.08. I had to manually edit ProgDVB.ini and set SetIsNotStartMoreOneDeviceAtOnce=0 to make version 6.63.08 run again

I have same problem with updates released after 6.63.8 (6.63.9, 6.63.10, 6.70.3)

I have tried uninstalling and deleting folders from hard drive.

I have reverted to 6.63.8.

Check Settings->Device options.

Click Settings/Device Options - nothing happens.

I mean mean mode and "use demux and tif".

Have accessed Settings/TV sources/options.

All boxes ticked: Not start more than one device; Use Dem. etc; Use ITiuner; Symbol rate.

No signal level showing during search.

After much faffing about finally got 6.70.5 working.
Uninstalled previous install (also deleted folder).
Settings/Device options set BDA to Microsoft comliant BDA driver instead of default Hauppauge setting.

Can confirm that changing Settings/Device options from Hauppauge BDA to Microsoft comliant BDA driver will work. Something with the Hauppauge API is wrong.

Perhaps you should both make a good photo of your tuners and upload each somewhere, to make it available here.

AFAIK, hauppauge used several different hardware concepts for their Nova-T models, based on different chipsets.
Of course, tuner handling depends on that hardware, specially if it's about BDA options.
Occasionally I have had a few different Nova-T / Nova-t models here, some base on Philips SAA7146 + TDA10045, others on Connexant chips.
So, same as with the Nova-S, there are original TechnoTrend designs, but nowadays most seem to be alike Twinhan or whatsoever.

Do you have this problem in last prerelease?

Installed 7.0.29209 (CD2.4) works OK. Uninstalled previous program & drivers prior to install because of error message didn't change any default settings.

Error: Win TV7.exe entry point not found. Yet to be investigated - if I click [OK] program starts OK.

(Similar message when starting ProgDvbNet)
