Hi
Long time since I run Tvcard on computer:), these times it was no problem with SS2.
Now I have big trouble, it dosen't matter what version I use allways the same error "device not started" this happens only with progdvb other DVBprogs works.
Using driver 4.4.0.0.
Please need some advise.

Perhaps it is occupied by a data application...

Strange in this case because I've tried another application and that worked.
Uninstalled and tried again without success, same problem cannot start device.
Virus maybe ??

Never heard of that.
But AFAIK the original software comes with a data application, that's autostarted. Look at your systray.
Also possible, a firewall blocks your card.
Don't have an SS2 here, so perhaps one of the thousands, that successfully use that card type, may continue here now...

I have "nearly" the same problem with the SkyStar2 (using driver 4.3.2.9999). Only "nearly"...
I can start ProgDVB about 6 times and let it crash about 6 times (normally when I change a channel). When I start ProgDVB for the 7th time I get the error "Device not started (SkyStar2)".
When this error occurs also DVB Viewer 4.3.2.1208 doesn't work - it tells me "Der Treiber scheint entweder deaktiviert , oder nicht installiert zu sein" (The driver seens to be deactivated or not installed).
When ProgDVB crashes the process ProgDvbNet.exe is still running and has to be ended manually. Also the symbol in the taskbar is still shown.
It seems that ProgDVB deactivates the cards driver after about 6-7 crashes.
I always have to restart windows to get the tv-card working again. Any clue hat is happening there?

I get this all the time. The first time after a reboot Progdvb works fine. After that it cannot find the SS2 device.
I found a work around:
Click on the My Computer icon and select manage.
In devices the SS2 card can be found under Network adapters.
Disable the device, then enable the device. Then retry Progdvb.
This works every time for me.
Hope this helps.
Also for me the same
