Hi,

I am using the OEM TBS version of ProgDVB and this installs and works ok.
Now I want to add the Prog Media Server to stream channel(s) over my network to, for example VLC clients.

When I run the server I'm presented with a blank 'PMS Launcher' form. I click options, select {BDA} TBS 6981 etc..., as my Device, click on OK and after a few seconds return to the blank 'PMS Launcher' form.

If in the options I select the TBS 6981 and click properties... nothing happens.

What should I be doing??

I am recommenced start Prog Media Server from ProgDVB.

ps: You need Prog Media Server Pro for vlc.

I found that eventually..
Now, on my local machine, I can run the server and can open the stream from VLC.

But when I open the URL from a remote machine I get nothing, an error from VLC saying the stream doesn't exist.
Streaming a video using VLC on the source machine I can open the stream on the remote machine.

I checked the firewall and ProgDVB is allowed through.

My ProgDVB server is running on 192.168.1.230
My channel should be at 192.168.1.230:8080/ITV
Using 127.0.0.1:8080/ITV in VLC on the server works ok.

I get the following from VLC messages:

Any ideas?

1. Try disable fireware.
2. Server must be _Pro_

I have the pro version - I have tried with both small and big and it's the same.
I guess you mean firewall; I have this disabled already.

I tried setting up VLC to stream and it works ok. I use http://127.0.0.1:8080/ITV astheinput stream and :8086 as the output and I can stream and receive ok.

Obviously this isn't the ideal situation as I'm adding yet another piece of software into the system. Surely Media Server should be able to do this without having to add in VLC?

Check Network->Network interface in server settings.
