I've like to use a W2K3 Server for Streaming DVB-S Television.
Streaming works fine, but the ProgDVB TV-Window on the W2K3 will be still dark. On Client site, everything is working fine, but is not comfortabe to have a picture on the server itself.
I know that Windows 2003 is not the best video media plattform, therefore I'm looking myself for different codec packs. But im still not able to watch a DVD (mpeg-2 decoder error) or getting a screen in ProgDVD on that server. It seem that the codec packs are not working correctly under W2K3
Does anybody have an Idea how to get an TV Screen in ProgDVB

System:
W2K3 Enterprise with Sp.1 incl. Updates
ProgDVB 4.82.4
Hauppauge Nexus-S

Yeep ... , it works. But after that, the CPU usage is not very kindly.

I also needed to enable the audio device under settings (under XP never needed before).

Cheers

BTW, to use HW mode, you don't need any codecs.
But normally overlay mode of your VGA card is used. If not working, even with the latest drivers for your VGA, try surface mode instead. Device options in ProgDVB.
Also try to set 'software scaling' to active.

Thanks for the replay.

I tried the things you suggest, but without success. I also change the graphic card without success. So still no picture.

Thanks
