I have a Hauppauge HVR 4000 (HVR-4000)

But I cant get it working prop. with progdvb.

Does any1 got this working? how?


I get alot of error when I try to start det (default) BDA driver,
(no space, bla bla, tif error, etc...)

I got the card running with watchpro or something... but I can'r get the picture showing... (same problem with mytheatre)...

I prefered the progdvb, so I really hope someone can help me...

the REG thing fixed the driver and card settings inn progdvb.

I still cant search transponders... I cant get any Quality og the signal.

Any1???

After this I guess I have to work with this codec thing... but first I have to get the cannels inn to the progdvb..

Yes i have HVR-4000 working with ProgDVB4.85.1.

I have working ProgDVB,
you should get latest prog, it can be 5.x.x. I have tested both 4.x.x and 5.x.x.
1) Install ProgDVB
2) download and add to registry http://www.tbc.ru/images/bda.reg
3) restart progdvb and choose {BDA} DVB-S Tuning Space Entry in device selection
4) choose your satellite and go on.
I have tested it on Intelsat 904 and W4 - all FTA TV-channels and radio works fine.

Has somebody got it running with this registry patch under Vista32? I have tried different methods, but there is no way to set the modulation from 64-QAM to 8PSK, to scan the DVB-S2 transponders, the box is shadowed. Can somebody help?

i also am able to broadcast all DVB-S Channels with my HVR 4000 from Hauppauge, but when i wanna scan the DVB-S2 transponders, i get 0 quality and i can't edit the modulation, because the boy is shadowed.

i only need the dvb-s2 channels for having a complete program which supports everything of my TV card. i also receive AC3 signal which cannot be received from PowerCinema 4.7 and any other program i tried with my TV card.

If anyone can help us so that we get the HDTV Channels I would be very glad.

AFAIK ...this depends on the driver modell for the card...so this is only working with the original software...

AFAIK current ProgDVB can't work with DVB-S2 transponders via BDA drivers. We need to wait for new versions or to use MyTheatre 3.38. Currently MyTheatre and Cyberlink Power Cinema is only working with HVR-4000 in DVB-S2 mode

how does MyTheatre work with DVB-S2?

i already tested MyTheatre, but i had problems.
today i found a possibility to play DolbyDigital, so MyTheatre now is as good as ProgDVB, but when i am searching the transponders with DVB-S2 canals, i get the message No Signal.

how can i solve the problem?

Progdvb Pro 5.12.09 + XP sp2 + Hvr 4000 Drivers 23/01/2007 2.119.25023.0 + CoreAVC 1.6.Pro

I've Removed old version & installed progdvbPro 5.12.09;
At start, Progdvb see the terrestrial board, skip the scanning;
Go to device list, & select :
BDA hauppauge ...S/S2..Tunerr/demod anysee device;
Go to Settings/options/directshow/ check "Custom..for graph";
in VideoH264/AVC select "COREAVC VIDEO DECODER";
To see scrambled channels check if your plugin section is OK.........
Edit:
You can enconter problems vith the installation of V-Plug, as a crash or a message about "not registered interface",
post here if you ave the problem, i'll explain my solution...

Now I can see:
DVB-S2 channel (I've used Swiss HD)
DBV-S channels (FTA + Scrambled)

I CAN'T see terrestrial DVB-T;
Mytheatre or alternative software can do it as well !!!

I've tried Cyberlink H264 (by powerdvd Ultra 7.3) & Elecard H264 without success

For the Mod:
In the graph mode, (viewing DVB-S2) no way to use a graph containing both CoreAvc & Ffdshow (as I love Ffdshow output 32bit conversion).
No problems to use others graphs containing ffdshow, viewing DVB-S signals.

The graph audio section: ffdshow audio+audio render, works well;

The Graph video section:
Source file: built with Haali media/HdtvPunp/render media file;
AVC decoder: CoreAVC 1.6.pro;Cyberlink H264 decoder;
with or without Ffdshow vrs 1763 /
Haali video render /VMR9/7 or overlay;

Video signal seems not to be recognized.
