Some small "problems" in ProgDVB.

1. I use "default renderer" and MainConcept-Codecs because on my ProgDVB-PC (AMD Duron 1.6Ghz)
Problem: There is a small logo on the upper right corner. Is it possible to disable this logo (it's not shown on VMR or VMR9)?

2. If I want to playback a recording in ProgDVB it takes a long while until the movie is loaded an started. Is the a ProgDVB-problem or an AMD-1.6GHz-Problem? :D

3. I can not set color, saturation etc. under audio/video-settings. Doeas anybody know why?

Thanks for your answers

As discussed x times before these options controlled by the codec you use...so you have to adjust it in the codec options...

Use zoomplayer,VLC , Windvd,Powerdvd or Media Player Classic for playback

Which Codec do I have to use If I want to use the settings under audio/video?
Where can I configure these settings for MainConcept?
--> I think this codec comes with ProgDVB.

Ok this is a solution but I want to know if this is a ProgDVB-bug.

with every codec these options are controlled by the codec...

if the used codec has the function to do this (not every codec can do this)...look in menu : File->property...in the right window click on the video codec entry....and make your settings..

I'll try this.

Thanks for your answers.

Did you also have an answer for my logo-problem?
It just a little white logo which consists of 9 little squares.

Only if you use a ´Full Featured´ cards like hauppauge nexus or technotrend Premium ..these cards have a hardware mpeg-2 decoder onboard and don´t need any Software Video/Audio codec...

Also discussed for years...see old forum...

This usually comes from the elecard/mainconcept codec which is included in progdvb package..its shareware..so buy it or try other codec in progdvb -> viewtopic.php?t=604

The old forums seem to be offline now.

So let me just place a short comment.

The elecard decoder, that comes with the standard version, is a demo version, marked by that logo and time limited.
Either buy that codec, or use another one (and register it for ProgDVB by editing and using the register.bat, plus eventually use a suitable graph).

But I use MainConcept and not Elecard - does it also show an Logo?

I tried all listed decoders but MainConcept seems to have the best quality (on the systen mentioned above).
Btw: Is it better to use an extra-decoder such as MainConcept or Elecard or is it better to use a decoder which comes with an DVD-player (e.g. CyberLink PowerDVD 6)?

Thanks for your answers

But for PowerDVD and FFDshow I need a filtergraph right and an extra filtergraph if I want to use it with AC3Filter, right?

Yes ...

Filtergraphs are always for a combination of Video and audio Codecs...

Filtergraphs for different Video/Audio Codecs can be found here : viewtopic.php?t=604

Is there a possibility to test new filtergraphs?
--> The truth is, that I don't own a DVB-S Card - I only tested it by a friend.

So I want to create some filtergraphs (e.g. Cyberlink, Cyberlink + AC3Filter, FFDShow, FFDShow + AC3Filter), test it with another non-DVB-application and give it to my friend.

Do you know such a solution?

I´m not a filtergraph expert....

When you build a filtergraph with graphedit you can also test it in graphedit...but this not works always 100% in the dvb-app...

besides of this i don´t know an other solution...
