so i went it and disabled it. Tried to schedule recording a couple of times but didn't work.
settings-->apps-->permissions-->especial app access-->energy optimization-->ProgTv-->not optimized

latest version 11 SW firmware 9.0.2 ( i don't like it to be honest ) & and in the background whilst watching netflix or youtube

schedule recording does not start unless the progtv is open. If my shield is on sleep it will not start recording, if i have progtv minimized whilst watching netflix it will not start recording.

Just purchased the license for recording, using shield TV. My is issue is i cant use the record scheduling unless the app is open. Is this still the case ? Macrodroid doesn't work on shield. TIA
