Can't change channel on client

#1
Hello,

I have ProgDVB 5.15.9 free version and the trial of the home network server installed on a Vista x64 ultimate machine.

As a client i have a xp laptop with ProgDVB 5.15.9. Copied the channels folder from the server to the client.

When 'tuning' the client to the same channel as the server is on there's a perfect picture. When trying to change the channel on the client nothing happens. I've sniffed the traffic and commands to change the channel (and the password if set) are sent to port 11000 on the server. The port IS open (in fact the firewall and defender are both off) as i get some sort of response when connecting to that port with a telnet client.

It's the server that seems to be ignoring the commands.. IS there a debugmode on the server to log traffic/actions?

A ready made solution would be even better! :D

Regards,
Red

PS. I use a Skystar2..

Thanks for you reply!

Ok, i'll try (again) but the reason i copied the channels folder from server to client was that when trying to use the scan option on the client the whole thing would crash..

(won't be able to try untill tonight as i'm at work right now..)

I've read alsewhere on the forum that the solution to channelswitching problems might be copying the channels folder. ANy insights into teh actual protocol used on port 11000 (it seems to send the transponder frequency, pids and other stuff)

I have the same problem.
Channel search worked after some tries,
and if i choose the channel running initially on the server,
i have a fine picture on the client.

But after changing the channel on the client,
the client freezes, and the server has 99% of CPU usage by the
ProgDVB process.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

When trying to scan channels on the client the following error appears:

MS .NET Framework not responding
Unhandles exception.. blabla....

Attempted to devide by zero. Still not working unfortunately. And the 14 day trial is running out fast.. Anyone able to assist?

Fantastic! The new version .10 works as it should. Downloads channellist and changes channel wothout any problem.

Just one minor remark i do have is the the channelscan done on the client only gives you the channels of the curretly selected satellite on the media server. So when you want all the channels on your clients you'll have to do a channelscan for each satellite individually. Don't know if this is by dsign or an oversight. Not a big problem as you'll have to do it only once!

Can you change channels on client with the .10 version?
I receive the channel list now too!
But if my client tries to change the channel, it seems the server does not receive the command to change the channel.
Is there any option i didn´t set?
