since one week - i didnt changed anything of the settings - the video-window flickers after i resize the progdvb-main-window. it's okay, after i click on the channel again. the problem occoures also when i switch to fullscreen.

if i switch to another video-renderer then "enhanced video renderer" the problem doesnt appear, but i wanna use enhanced video renderer because he gives the best result.

i updatet now to the neweset 6.01 pro (bought it for about one or two month) version, but problem still exists.

i use the terratec Cinergy S2 PCI.

what can i do?

why do i get no help? i bought the product.

now the problem changed. now the picture is bucking? ...after watching tv for some minutes.
at the beginning everything is okay.
and it doesnt help to switch the encoder etc.
it appears on different versions. (6.01, 5.15.10).

any suggestion?

i'm going crazy! i will throw my computer out of my window and buy a tv.

since over two years i have problem watching tv on the computer. i switched the computer, i switched the tv-card... i bought this software... but EVERYTIME I HAVE SOME f.... PROBLEMS! ....i have studied computer science..... it makes me crazy. i JUST WANNA WATCH TV! BULLSHIT!
sorry, but that must to be said right now.

if anybody can suggest me best settings of Video and Audio i would be happy. i switch them to different ones but everytime i got somewhere problems. sometimes the sound on h.264 channesl interrupts after a second after change the channel. sometimes only some old mpeg2-channels dont work with soome filters... sometimes progdvb just crashes, somtimes audio and video isnt synchron, sometimes video interrupts...

i would spend 100 € if i would get an propper working application.
the deliverd software of terratec is very crappy. i used progdvb for a long time.. than changed the videocard to a new one with hd-support, and the problems began - i was not able to run this card with progdvb. with the original app from the manufacturer there was a unsolfeable problem. f...off the old one... i spended hours over hours, i send it to the manufacturer..they didn't helped. nothing helped. so i bought a new one..
(BTW: the old one was an knc one dvbs2 - NEVER BUY THIS!!)

and now... i wanna use my new one with progdvb but im getting sick ....
it's an never ending story...

What Windwos version and SP do you use, exactly?
What DirectX version? Does dxdiag.exe report any problems?

What CPU and mainboard chipset do you use?
What VGA card and driver?

Did you (try to) activate any hardware acceleration from your VGA card, in codec's internal settings?

Where to did you set timeshift, in file or RAM, or disabled at install time??

BTW, don't install more codecs than really required.

Some Information about my actuall System:
Windows Vista Business SP1 v.668 (Direct X10)

Mainboard is: Asus P5N32-E SLI (nForce 680i SLI)
CPU is: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 (2x 3 GHz)
(BTW: RAM is at 4 GB)

VGA-Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS (only temporarly) with 256 MB
using 1920x1200 (32bit)(60Hz) resolution, newest NV-Driver (7.15.00.11.7824)
Maybe this Card is to slow for h.264? ...i will change it as soon as my real card (GF8800GTS) is back from repair.. but problems also appears on non-h.264-channels.

I cannot find any HW-Acceleration-Option in Vista - seems as they removed that in vista or with the new nvidia-driver. in the nvidia-driver there is no option which could be responsable for the problem, i think.

yesterday night i did a complete reinstall of progdvb, did a new channel-scan and disabled timeshift completely. it didn't helped.

i can not rember of installing any codecs manually, they came with the tv-cards, as far as i remember.

any other idea with that additional information?
which codec would you prefer?

Codecs have properties, that could be accessed from file properties at playback, for example.
In there you may find an option for hardware acceleration, in video overlay mode.
Of course, results depend on your VGA hardware and drivers

I can't really recommend codecs, as
- each machine is different
- my Nexus is preferably used in plain hardware mode, as it comes with a nice DSP for MPEG2
- I don't use HDTV of any kind

thanks for the tip with file->properties. hw-acc. was enabled, i disabled it now. i will see if the problem is solfed. yesterday i was going crazy again. the video interrupts again everytime i watched tv longer then 10 - 30 minutes - doesn't matter which settings at video/audio. after a reboot the problem was gone always and comes back after 10 / 30 minutes of watching.

i used the nexus (one of the first models) many years without any problems, but because of hdtv i bought a new one... that was a big mistake.

You can have more than one tuner on a computer.
So, if still alive, why not reactivate the SkyStar 1 Premium...

However, there must be a real reason for your problem.

Reduce timehift buffer to no more than a few MB.
Try to find put about memory use, if it rises into critical heights before the problem occurs.
If available, watch CPU and case temperature.
Try to record in parallel, don't stop when problem occurs. Afterwards play back that file to the end, to find out, if recordings are effected, too..

the problem was solfed after i plugged in my original vga-card (geforce 8800gts).
