I just got the stick mentioned above. I am trying to use it with ProgDVB 6.05.

Some TV-Programs run well. Others have no or only sometimes picture. Those which have no picture run well with Pinnacle TV-Center Pro Software.

But the Pinnacle Software needs a fast processor, it does not run well on my EeePC 100HE.

In ProgDVB i chose Generic BDA.

Does anyone have a clue what the problem may be?

I have just clicked through all channels. It is just ONE channel that is not working. But it is my favourite TV-Program

Why does that happen? May the Channel-List in ProgDVB be wrong? Could a blind search help?

Check CPU load at first.

CPU load is okay.

I am now running ProgDVB on a C2D-Notebook with 2 Ghz. Runs absolutely fine.

Sound is running. Picture only sometimes. And if there is a picture its either completely green or judders.

The problem comes up with all Programs of "Prosieben-Sat1 Media AG". That are Pro7, Sat1 and N24. They are all hosted by the same company here in Germany. May there be any problem with the configuration under "channel properties"?

The data there are read from the stream tables the transponder carries.
And they do in fact work fine over here.
I don't find anything unusual on that transponder.
But I am using a hardware decoder...

Please name the station effected precisely.
List all IDs you find on it.
Also mention your DirectShow (renderer, codec etc.) related settings in full.
Incluse audio settings and mode.
Don't forget plugins, if involved, and add basic detailson your graphics card and driver, DirectX version, OS and everything else, that might be of any importance.

There are my codecs:
There are no Plugins involved. I use a Notebook with a C2D-Processor (2 Ghz) and Nvidia 8600M-GT. The Driver Version is 6.14.11.8048. The Transponder List i use is "Germany - All Channels". I live near Cologne.

I just also tried Version 6.06 of ProgDVB. There the only Programs i get are ProSieben, Kabel1, Sat1, N24. There are shown about 20 or 25 times each, so there seems to be anything wrong with the Transponder List?

I have got the same problems on my Eee PC 1000HE. It has got an Intel Onboard Graphics Chip and Intel Atom 1,66 Ghz Processor. The Codecs are the same! The problem also. Sound works fine, picture not.

Or is it digital cable?
Let people know, to perhaps get helped.
Also mention qualtity and level, modulation parameters and alike.
And compare with the original application, find out all differences.

To be serious that got a little to complicated for me. I don't have a clue of all these technical vocabs

But yesterday I installed K-Lite Codec Pack in order to be able to watch DVD's.

NOW Picture works for all Programs. Seems as if some Codec was missing! Might you be able to guess which Codec that might be? I dont want to install the whole codec pack on me eee PC to keep it clean and fast. How can I find out which codec to install? That would be too great

For DVB applications, you need codecs for MPEG2 and perhaps h.264, plus some for audio. This would be MPEG1 layer 2 audio, plus perhaps something for AC3.
In most cases, the original software for a tuner brings all what's necessary.

However, most codecs also have their own settings / properties, that should be checked carefully in any case.
Then, ProgDVB allows you to find out, what codec is being used at the moment (if any). Take a good look at all the menue items, like file related...
In fact, installing a whole codec pack is not a good idea, as the chances for ruining the whole DirectX system are big.

BTW, if you want to use 3rd party software, you must spend some time and effort to learn some basics.
This board may be used as a huge collection of knowledge.
