Hello,
I've installed ProgDVB 6.06.02.
In the devicelist I can find "PCTV 100e/150e Device TV in". This is my hardware. But if I start the channel search ProgDVB can't find a channel.
I noticed that it seems to start at frequenz 49 and continues at over 500.
Because I am german it has to search on frequenz 120 to 520.
Searching for the problem I was wondering about the transponderlist.
Do I need this setting for an analog device?
Because in this dropdown-box I can only choose the item "Russian TV Channels" ???
Is this the problem why I can't find a tv channel?
What do I have to do to get German tv channels?
Re: working with analog Pinnacle PCTV 100e/150e ?
#2No, this is wrong.wolfgang wrote:Because I am german it has to search on frequenz 120 to 520.
Find general frequencies at
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrestrische_Frequenzen
and
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequenzen ... an%C3%A4le
For cable see here:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabelferns ... higen_Raum
So an analogue tuner should be able to tune from around 45 MHz to 862 MHz, for both, terrestrial and cable analogue.
And for Germany, a digital terrestrial or cable tuner should at least cover everything above around 120 MHz, up to around 860 MHz, indeed.
Precise channel freqencies may vary a bit, to avoid interferences with other local services, like aircraft communication, for example.
In future, the upper limit of band V may be reduced a bit, for the benefit of yet another celluar phone band and / or new services, by this taking away channels above ~ 60.
Also there are a lot of small or new cable networks in some regions, that may use a completely different alignment of digital and analogue services within the whole available range between 45 and 862 MHz.
However, ProgDVB is NOT made especially for Germany, as it's author lives in Russia.
So it will in any case be able to tune to anything in VHF and UHF bands around the world, as long as the tuner used allowes this.
Just transponder lists can give extra limitations, but those can't be made from Prog's location, as he does not have an extension cable long enough, to receive German cable from Kleinkleckersdorf or Büchsenschinken

This for, think about using the strongest weapon, your editor / notepad...
